I like the Sayers traditional pasties but they are so small nowadays FFS. Just a few bites, or a mouthful if yer a mag
I'm a Thomas the Baker fan (not to be confused with the tank engine! Never heard of Sayers. Will have to try them out
Think they're only in the North West. They're on a par with Greggs. Some of the Morrisons pies n pasties are reet
Morrissons corned beef pasties were top of the pops! Don't do them now, in Consett at least. The end.
I was always Peter’s when it was around. Although “Peter” from Peter's cathedral bakers is my uncle so that might be the main reason. Loved the meat and potato pasties.
Was that Peters in a corner pie shop in one of the streets behind The Roker End, I used to go there full of ale before the match.
Not sure. Think that was called the Roker pie shop. Peter’s are now Cooplands. Been taken over quite a lot of years ago now
Greggs steak bakes should be called gravy slop bakes. A couple of tiny morsels of meat is nothing like the photos they use of great lumps of steak falling out the pastry. How trading standards allow the photos I don’t know
It was definitely called Peters and this was in the early 90s, it closed before Roker did so dunno if it’s the same fella that owned it,it was nice either way.
I used to go to the roker pie shop. My uncle is a mag although business always came first so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was his!!
Oh I don’t mind some of the food. But to wear the brand is borderline madness! What next, McDonalds in bed with Hugo Boss?!?!
