given himself little choice really...the problem with 'making a stand' is that if you truly believe it (rather than just jumping on the bandwagon) then you have to follow it through your entire life, especially for the famous as they know if they make one mistake they are going to be hounded for it.

The cash goes to Reprieve, a charity that tries to get legal and other help to those, including many in Saudi, who need and are denied help. Often imprisoned for no reason, or facing torture and repression and other serious depravations of basic human rights.

Knofler has hoyed a guitar in, so I've hoyed a tenner in. All he should do now, is to tell them to stop playing his music at the ground!
