My concern is the PL state he made a mistake and we move on. I bet he has received a nice fat brown envelope to go. The PL members are then squeaky clean. I hope it goes the other way and there is a massive investigation into this. Cannot see how they can change their minds though.

They'll struggle to sign players because of many factors, not least they're in a serious relegation fight. It all very well for the supporters saying it would only be a blip, on the their march to glory, but players won't want to go down with them. There's a choice of clubs for top players, and not so top, teams will be after reinforcements in January. Seriously, why go to Newcastle when their structure is shot to pieces. It's only around 6 weeks to the window and there's no one 'leading' the club but Amanda Staveley who knows little more about football than people on here. The manager took his last team down so he's not a big attraction to be honest. There are clubs with new managers and some pushing for Europe where players could go. Would players choose Newcastle over Brighton, I doubt it. Would they choose Howe over Gerrard, I doubt it. But there's the 'bone saw element' to this. Saw an interview with her and the fans just before the takeover and she said there were a number of reasons and benefits and started to list them using her fingers as a count... She muddled up on the third but the scum in the car park had already prematurely chanted... Totally embarrassing
