Oh dear, I wonder what has their backs up?it's almost like their closest rivals have been taken over by a billionaire willing to invest in the team, area and create a brand new fresh infrastructure in the running of the whole club and they found out just before Christmas....... oh.... wait.
i think every interested group do a runner as soon as they see what the supporters are like, its them that spoils it all
For a 'major city' I have to say the cathedrals of Winchester, Ely and Durham make Newcastle's look like a parish church ... ... oops, it is a parish church
They are without a shadow of a doubt the most self indulgent deluded set of football fans in the world. I can't believe that we live in the same part of the country tbh
Wow now that was pure class! They definitely think they are something they are not! It's a great city centre but go outside it and it's awful!
I'm not religious but I've visited them two cathedrals and another one is Chester, which I thought was absolutely stunning...
Why must the mags think they have some kind of governmental significance in terms of preservation? You'd think the lunatic big headed bastards were on the national trust endangered list or sumit. You're not a ****ing red squirrel, you're a **** football team like 90% of the football league and live by the same missary and uncertainty as the rest of us. Self entitled halfwits.
One of the best cities I've ever partied in. Funny, football is rarely mentioned on these endeavours. But when it is a ****er emerges every single time and it's not me.
This is obviously hysterically funny and tragic at the same time. But there is something about it that reminds me of RAWA and their prepensity to speak on behalf of 'the supporters'. Any responses, showing concern at the letter, are shouted down which happened with the RAWA statement. "Well done lads. Keep it up, ignore any detractors it’s the hope that kills them." I'm sure there are thousands of ordinary decent Newcastle supporters, like some in my family, who cringe when they see these various groups spouting nonsense in their name. We laugh at the Mags, for all of this ... ... we need to avoid looking needy and demanding. An over inflated sense of self importance is never a good look. WTF does this even mean .... Newcastle Consortium Supporters
To be brutally honest, we don't know anything KLD is planning to invest in apart from the club structure. We know he wants to build us as an academy player production line club and he thinks we should be (wants to take us?) up in the high reaches of the premiership, but we don't know how much he is willing to put in to get us there. I'm not complaining mind, we all want to see us up there with more sustainability in the club itself, rather than us being dependent upon a rich man's largesse to fund massive annual losses. However, the mags haven't yet had the hard lesson of football reality come home to them in the way we have had it. Yet. There is much dirt being shovelled through up there by the inland revenue which makes the mags very nervous and dreaming of ever more rich sugar daddies to keep the club going, hence all the crying going on up there now. I understand it, but I don't believe their fans are thinking that our takeover is as much of a windfall as say the Dell affair seemed to offer. I will be honest and admit that neither do I. But I think that our takeover has not come at the cost of prostitution the club and wouldn't have been under any of the Americans interested in us. Perhaps the mags don't seem bothered by it because Ashley has already been running the club under a low-rent prostitution model and they see the Saudi takeover as a chance for the club to change image from being a dockside prostitute to becoming a high class escort. Same business model but with more money changing hands.
I just noticed Chelsea made about £35m last season. No idea what that means though tbh. It may be that KLD will happily spend more than FPP would've. But I'm sure the Saudis would've spent huge amounts
Good post mate. Yes we don't know full intentions yet, but the signs are looking good. The few mags I work with have went very quiet, but you could at a guess think that KLD wants to do things the right way and spend a few quid. He's a young man and probably clued up that he will have to spend to get us to where he wants us. Probably the same reason why he wanted more shares by the end of it. Alas we wait and see.
