Just watching Eddie Howe's press conference. Here's been asked twice about human rights violations by the new owners - he basically won't talk about it, just focusing on the football side of it. In other words, they've paid me **** loads not to talk about it
I see Steve Bruce and family is having a tough time following his sacking by the mags... they are watching the cricket semi-final England v New Zealand in the UAE. Its a hard life!
"So Mr Howe, you've just given up your right to talk about anything but football ... ... allow us to remind you of that, in the future, and wipe that sickly grin off your face." He has three sons, I wonder what they're thinking as they listen to that. "Dad, did you just sell out?"
Might have known someone on here would spin it round that way #fishing How predictable that it was the **** from Sky who piped up with it first as well !
Yeah it is predictable that something which is a big glaring issue is commented on. Almost as predictable as you lot collectively turning a blind eye like the pleasant bunch that you are.
There's absolutely no spin, just bare facts. Howe is taking Saudi money, journalist asks about Saudi, Howe refuses to answer. Funny how the Mags were relentlessly demanding that journalists and politicians ask Ashley questions about his 'slave trade' ... ... now they're showing, yet again, what massive hypocrites they are.
If you seriously think that anyone agrees with their methods then you’re more ignorant than you’re letting on. You can keep wheeling the “turning a blind eye” line out as much as you want but it’s **** all to do with that. If continuing to support my football team is turning a blind eye to it then ****ing charge me now cos I’m guilty as ****!!
This situation is already terrible ... .... people like you are just making it worse trying to sweep it under the carpet. This isn't going to blow over ....
Nobody's saying you should stop supporting your club. What they are saying is that revelling in it like a pig in **** is extremely distasteful and whinging about it being brought up casts you in a very dodgy light.
So if the shoe was on the other foot and it was Sunderland who sold out to a barbaric nation, Newcastle fans would have no thought on the subject and wouldn't bat an eyelid? Would you ****!!! It's a subject that been put in the spot light and fans not just from Sunderland but those in the Premier (as Newcastle have found) have an opinion on it and it will keep being brought up by the media. Sorry that it's not part of your agenda
Howe needs to hope his boss doesn't get wind of this MARCH 31, 2017 ‘I would sign a gay player without hesitation’ A top football boss has spoken out about the lack of gay players in the sport. Eddie Howe, manager of Bournemouth football club, has become the first Premier League boss to discuss the issue. In an interview for the latest edition of Winq magazine, Howe said: “I would sign a gay player without hesitation if they were the right player for the club, absolutely no doubt about it. The football and the footballer’s character are the things that define a career, not sexuality.” He made the comments to out Sky Sports presenter Mark McAdam, who became the channel’s first gay reporter in 2014.
My mind drifts back to the bbc North Korea coverage when the Durham miners requested their flag back during Paolo's reign...
And the fuss the Mags made about him on their forums ... ... despite his lack of murders, tortures and stonings.
Don't talk sense man. I'm sure he only came on here when they became the "richest club in world football" came across to gloat and rub it in, thought he would run rings around us we are in league 1 and they are now destined for great things with their new found wealth.
