Saudi crown prince a ‘psychopath’, says exiled intelligence officer (msn.com) Former Saudi intelligence official says Mohammed bin Salman poses ‘a threat to his people and the planet’ (msn.com)
I think if football was a Bond film I think St. James Park will be one of the baddies bases. I can picture it now, 5 years time, Champions League night v Real Madrid. 5 minutes to go..........explosions, machine gun fire, henchmen dropping like flies, handsome spy with bikini bird closely following behind, Saudi baddie climbing up a rope ladder towards a helicopter, fights and falls to his death on the centre circle, handsome spy shags bird. THE END.
If I was a Newcastle fan I would be a little concerned that, at any sign of trouble, the Saudi's would drop them like a stone. They have the money to afford to. As politics is so closely linked to their club now any political shift could cause rippling effects which could have consequences for their club. It's not just about what goes on on the pitch anymore, or even how many moths come out of Mike Ashleys pockets when he gets his wallet out. Its about what goes on in a far away country that the club itself will have little control over. And how ourselves and other nations react. 'Got their club back?' Nothing could be further from the truth as far as I'm concerned. It is now planted in Saudi Arabia. Every time Saudi Arabia get bad press, rightly or wrongly, some of the **** will get thrown in Newcastles direction. An assassination here, a stray bomb there, an miscarriage of justice here, an gay execution there. I'm not thick skinned enough as a supporter to have to put up with the backlash my club will receive as a result of the policies of my overlords back at HQ Quarters. A first big trophy may feel great but then I would find any further success will fail to absorb the blows. As a Sunderland supporter I am starting to believe that we are well out of it to be honest. If Newcastle get a few trophies over the next few years well bully for them! At some point in the future, could be 5 years, could be 50 years, it will come crashing down due to something totally out of their, or footballs, control. I also believe the Saudi's and Staveley pin pointed Newcastle as a weak link in their quest to get a foothold into English Football. They've infiltrated their way in by picking a big club, with a passionate fanbase etc etc but with such strong hatred for an owner, and such strong willingness to finally succeed that the majority are happy to accept this takeover taking place. Because you cant tell me, that if Mike Ashley had Newcastle pushing for Europe every season and had them winning a trophy or two, there wouldnt have been far more protest within the Town fanbase over this takeover. If the likes of the big six or any clubs on the fringes of success were approached, would the Saudi's have gathered such big support? Would they f.....
Also just on TV, apparently the mags owner is a Psychopath, as he is torturing a man's sons so that he will return to Saudi and be killed.
I assume this “ handsome” spy has brought his bikini girl from elsewhere - cos if she’s a local bikini girl I ain’t watching the end of your film
thats the green light for fans across the country to have their opinions aired and demonstrated without comitting an offence, I wonder what lies in store around the grounds now, watch this space.
I was thinking of this last week, if clubs are so up in arms about the morality of the takeover this could be 1 option. Equally, if clubs do decide to take the Saudis money off them for players aren't they immorally compliant in doing deals with them. It'll be interesting to see if it's all hot air.
Would be great if each time the played an away match the home team played this during warm-up, half time and at full time - and I'd bet many of the mags would be dumb enough to think it was pro Saudi
They should charge Staveley with 'wasting police time' if she carries on reporting these things. It can't be denied that the Saudis kill people, etc, so why report people for saying so. We have free speech in this country and won't be quelled by a Saudi sympathiser ... ... thanks all the same Mandy.
and 'his excellency' will be thinking.... 'get me back to Riyadh, she can sort these fruitloops out!'
