In so many cases that is now correct. Pre Hall and Keegan, they were just another up and down club, which of course is their natural level, as has been shown in the Ashley years, when the club spent what it could afford, and achieved accordingly. I know fans of that lot from that pre 92 era who are mostly the same as us, But a few good years in the nineties, funded by borrowed money, encouraged an extreme entitlement and pathetic victim syndrome in them. They have been widely ridiculed for this for years now around the country. Now they and what passes for their club, are utterly despised.
From the Palace supporters group. Says all that needs saying. "To give the thumbs up to this deal at a time when the Premier League is promoting the women's game and inclusive initiatives such as rainbow armbands, shows the total hypocrisy at play and demonstrates the league's soulless agenda where profits trump all." And a different group "Suhail is in prison in Saudi Arabia for three years for being gay. He is a 23-year-old man who has been subjected to 800 lashes as part of his punishment.
The rhetoric on the banner that the palace fans unveiled is 100 percent the truth and is common knowledge. The Saudis don't hide their beliefs and actions. The whole world knows how barbaric they are So what's the problem. You can't get wrong for telling the truth
I can actually see the PL getting that het up they will say grounds will be closed if this doesn’t stop. Nothing would make me happier than every ground having banners up the following week
Now if say a a multi billionaire or his associates took over the mags and had been arrested on suspicion of murder rape torture beheadings etc etc and palace fans had a banner like that on show, then I would say that's out of order however...............
That is the nub of it. They have never hid their barbarity, are openly contemptuous of the West, and have always assumed that they could buy silence and indifference. But they will be back, metaphorically in their tents in fifty years, and they know it. The attempt to gain acceptance in the West is what this is all about. Ditto PSG, and Man City.
They can do that back home, everyone's scared of them, but English people don't care a jot and won't hesitate to show them up whenever they can. When that banner went up Staveley's face was a picture ... ... and it's not too often you can say that about her
I can say, with 100% honesty, I’d be really ****ing uncomfortable with Saudi’s owning SAFC. Wouldn’t pull my support or stop me supporting and loving the club, but it wouldn’t sit well. Fortunately, we landed on our feet and got the whole package with our owners.
There was a clip on Youtube, last night, that's now been removed. It showed Staveley having a paddy at Crystal Palace people in the posh seats ... ... she must be wondering what she's got herself into.
After watching that Paul Merston programme about betting addiction...I think football clubs should be very careful about sponsors and owners... Also even the most biased of mags must know that the prime motive of their new owners is sport washing!
Fair play to MOTD, they mentioned it after their game. 'Banner ... Saudis ... human rights' .... police ... etc.' Which must have had Staveley squirming in her pants ... ... now let's see if Look North also report it as they undoubtedly would if it was us. They made a massive deal out of di Canio, despite him never having murdered people.
Rotherham are planning one that says. 'Sunderland's Louis-Dreyfus has French nationality, but was born in Zurich'. Yorkshire bastards
