    I've never owned a Rover in my life... Austin Metro but not a Rover and I'd never have taken it into Europe. Christ, it would have died before getting off the hovercraft at Calais!

    Years ago in France the wife was heading down to reception to get more toilet paper. I was in the shower and when she asked me what it was called in France I couldn't resist. Sent her off to reception asking for sheet roll. Told her to really emphasise the 'eet' in a gallic manner.

    She cottoned on by the time the lift reached the ground floor.

    Think I'm gunna try and get on the African continent this summer, our uni is running a volunteering scheme in Uganda going to build a library and then help out teaching etc. then my mates are wanting to do a bit of a tour of South Africa, so hopefully can fit the both of those in (God Bless overdrafts!)

    I was thinking of heading to Magaluf but everyone I've asked has said it's a ****hole and full of blocked cretins shouting 'Rooney' etc. You know the type!

    I've only heard good things about Palma though and it's not far off Magaluf.

    I'm off on a 5 week visit to the West of the United States. Spokane, Washington to San Diego, Cali via Yellowstone Park, Salt Lake City, Zion Park, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Death Valley, Yosemite Park, San Francisco and Los Angeles!
