A request: When the signup for the next game starts can someone mention it on this thread as well?
I'm guessing most of us are following this thread so we'll get a notification at least.

My take on the Mafia Godfather role:
I agree he could be given more power if we play this setup again.
Making him appear as town if investigated would be decent as there are 2 investigative roles, but I agree that being able to do all three powers would be a great tweak as he becomes incredibly important to the mafia team then and has to remain protected at all times.

 

I am thinking on when to start new sign up.

I need a couple weeks.

Swarbs is off on hols etc next 5 weeks so he said go ahead.

I asked so we could rerun this one again .... minor tweets only. Not sure what those are.

 

If you want to make it realistic then everyone should know who the don is.

Look at movies etc, everyone knows who the son is but they never have enough evidence to convict them.

Maybe make them a known mafia person Who can't be lynched and hard to shoot as they have protection... (Ie shooting them only gives you 25% chance of hitting, but gives the cop a 50% chance of being shot by their protector.)

They can perform some tasks by every time they perform one they risk te cops catching them in the act, and if that happens then they can be arrested/killed etc

 

Well that is an intriguing thought.

How to make it work in this case would be hard to figure.

 

They wouldn't be allowed to vote on the lynch either obviously but would be a nice change

someone that was a known baddy but couldn't be killed easily.. And they have the choice of sitting back and directing their team or get involved with the tasks but risk being caught by cops.

Maybe be they could perform the same tasks as their team (so you could recruit 2 people 1 night, or kill 2 people) but the cop has a 50/50 chance of seeing the don perform that action because they have a watch on them all the time..

means huge reward, but big risks

 

The role doesn't have to have all three powers, why not let the role be an actual Don and tell the others what to do. IE, whoever is allocated as the Hitman as to kill who the Don says. If the Don dies, the individual Mafia roles take on their own responsibility. If the Hitman dies, he can tell someone else int he Mafia team to kill but at a reduced chance of success.

 

But if the town manage to kill off his team then they can go for the Don as he'd have no protection.

If people want a big mind ****, you could have a copper that is being paid by the Don. Town think he's a copper (if investigated etc)

 

Deffo a great twist.

Best thing might be a sign up thread now with question on what to change. the zombie is had to know. it wasn't fully played out. the mafia probably needs a bit of work.

 

Yesh.. The don could protect himself in one last hurrah if it gets to that point or something.
