I was supposed to title it 'Recruitment Needed' - but my puppy was biting my ****ing ankles so ended up with this

So you'd be the vigilante throughout the whole game? That goes for other roles if you're assigned a role are you that role until the game ends or you're killed?

 

Unless you are recruited then yes. If you are recruited, I believe you just become a mafia member with no set role

And its **** if you're killed off too. Bit like player one-man-wembley at school and going out first

hi so it's simple

1. kill gerrez...

2. Kill gerrez

3. kill gerrez

4. once done with that if you have a specific role you'll get a pm explaining what to do. all call them "actions" are PM'd to me before 8pm each day. I would in all seriousness bank an action with me EARLY then TRY to be on at 7:45pm and register a change if you wish.

5. Ebola is my way of just adding some means to just let everyone know to not just kill greez but to make up a good excuse to do so. I was concerned last time about some votes so the idea is you guys know I can make you bleed rectally but hope to not have to I basically think its just a bit of fun and i might if you guys don't kill him give gerrez a dose of the pox!

6. Vigilante is simple enough. The vigilante can just go kill someone, and get off scot free as far as i see. So whoever lands the role should in theory wait to form some level of opinion but the action is open to them at any time to pm me a name that they think is mafia but say is not getting votes and we will discover their body in an alley axed to death mito style. the moring edition of wunter news will then say if the perosn is innocent

Real rules

1. One of you will be the don, the Capo di tutti capi you run the show and you get to decide two things... you will be able to make someone mafia "a made man" and you will be able to order a hit. Its up to you when you do these things, you do them by PM to me. consider yourself to be (avon barksdale from the wire if you like).... you will find out the result in the daily news.

2. One of you will be a mafia investigator, you do the bosses bidding and you poke around in things. (like stringer bell form the wire) You can order an investigation into one person per round which makes you quite useful. every round you have to pm me with who you want to look at and you get a pm back telling you the score... who are you looking for... the town invesigator)

3. At least one (depending on numbers) will be a town investigator. You are in effect the cops and you looking to find mafia. (like greggs and carver in the wire) you are in danger cos you are being looked for too. Be careful cos you can't just announce your findings unless they are gold... you could find yourself wearing a cement over coat. Again you pm me your action before 8pm and I pm you the result

4. The vigilante. (omar) you don't like anyone really. anyone messes with you they get offed. You might take a dislike to the mafia or you might just off some townie for a laugh. the choice is yours. You pm me your choice before night time (8pm) only once in the whole game and you get to kill that person unless of course you are unlucky and the mafia hit them first or the mafia off you.
I will even allow SOME graphic description you may want to include as long as it doesn't get too ugly. I'll publish it in the news.

however i will ask that this person plays nice ffs and doesn't just whack anemone in round one as a joke especially if that person wants to play. I'td be nice you try and use it to win the game for the town.

e.g greez found by police crushed under a horse in a sex game gone wrong kind of thing... police suspect foul play..

5. Regular old tonie or townspersons.

The rest of you lot are townsfolk or mopes and all you know is the number of roles in the game. You can't talk to each other privately and all you know is that you are sick and tired of the crime in the town and have organised into a lynch mob. the problem is you don't know who's mafia so each day you go hauling another person out of their bed and killing them.

general play.

The mafia will pm each other.... they will be organised and out to take over the town by having more mafia than regular people

the game will be based on talking to each other... If you don't talk expect to be offed. the idea is to look at what is said and see who you might suspect.

in round one you are likely to just off an innocent. you are looking for info... assume everyone is lying and lie yourself. you don't want to be offed.

Everyone will be innocent publicly, but are they acting funny or unexpected, what did they do last round... as so forth.

With each round we will see things happen.

maybe an investigator find something out and the direction of suspicion changes, maybe someone will convert to the other side and act different............ round 2 (12 people example) could start with one converted person, one assasinated and one vigilante kill! that would be mafia 3, town 7.... that would mean a min of 2 round or max of 6 more rounds.

 

If you get recruited you get recruited.

the idea of a vigilante is that you are in theory on the towns side out to end the mafia plague. If you are recruited you no longer wish to off mafia and therefore join their ranks and stop killing/ never kill of course. The chance i nthe first couple rounds that vigilante gets converted is small enough.

I can't stop the vigilante deciding to off someone who is most likely innocent just because but the theory ofthe role is you are on the innocent side.

thats answers the question.... however there are variants we can agree. I can if everyone wishes allow the vigilante to kill every night or every second night but I would prefer for this game we limit to one as a randomly picked vigilante coudl just play silly buggers.. sorry guys i don't expect it but don't want it ruining the game so I chose this level of activity

 

So if the vigilante kills someone he's still in the game right? Could he still be recruited after shooting Gerrez (or anybody else)?

If you guys want more in i suggest you advertise it..... or invite those you think might like/play correctly.

I have researched 3 more roles to add but would need 16-20 people

finally i am a stickler for timing so I said sunday at 8pm start so thats when this round will run form.

if we've 14 great, if we've 20 we might find it complex as we are learning.
