Off Topic Mafia game: The island

Got to page 14.. then the site went down

posting this so as not to be the usual innocent 'quiet' one lynched

Need to reread the rules now though

 

Finally able to get back online and catch up on the posts... if it was any time from day 2 onwards I'd say maybe suspend nightfall but we have so little to go on (with it being day 1) i think we should just carry on.

Seems like lots of guys have forgotten about the game plus there's at least an hour of uptime before nightfall so i would suggest we just carry on with the 9pm nightfall tonight.

 

I am holding my vote for now (escape vote).

I don't have any bad guy reads. I see I have two votes though, so if I am in the mix then I will use my vote for self-preservation, but without any read on the person I am voting for.

 

Think the nightfall should go back to at least 10, if the site is up now properly that should be good.

I'm following Astro's logic here, the gas makes sense because this game is obviously inspired by The Prisoner and in that the evil dudes use gas to knock-out any trouble makers. The shoe thing kinda leads me to believe maybe 23 was being gassed, but managed to kind of wriggle free before passing out but stumbled over the balcony, the guy trying to knock him out, having never been trying to actually kill him, tried to grab him as he went over but only managed to pull his shoe off (If he'd just done his laces up tighter!). Hence the shoe is gone as the assailant took it with him.

On the theme of The Prisoner, I don't think MITO would have been so obvious but the whole thing revolves around the unseen Number 1 being the big bad wolf... So obviously RHC is the Don!

Was expecting about 20 pages to go through and read but seems the site was down so has helped me catch up on only a couple of pages


People are still getting very worked up over which route to take... given I assume all us Townies have the same information on which route does what (ie no info at all) then arguing and saying we should/shouldn't go in one place is a bit iffy.

@astroturfnaut we may have already gone upstairs to investigate the killing, but that's 1 room upstairs, im guessing there is more upstairs than just 1 persons room or it's some weird house/hotel thing. There's just as much chance of something being upstairs as in the garden, so it doesn't really make much difference where we go.

I had a sneaky look in the cellar and it was bare so I'm going to try the shop instead. Obviously this means having to go outside and through the garden

Only reason so far is im annoying, however all theories about groups wanting to go upstairs i not only agreed with but was also the first to question it?

To me this indicates that we have to be in the right room each day /enough ppl in the room/ a set number in the room type puzzle for the lynching not to be...a death..but an escape (i hope to hell the number of shoes worn doesnt matter to the lynchee re whether they are dead or escape ..but the clue was there with #23). This assumes that we wont know if the Lynched is dead or escaped..ie they just disappear either way?

Reason for thinking the lynched MIGHT actually escape if the rest of us do the right thing is:

*****The Dead will have a role in the game, a separate private chat will be set up for the dead to parallel the game of the living. This does work on phones. If it doesn't work for anyone they need to let me know and take the initiative. The reason for using this is SOMETIMES private chat works on large groups on not 606 and sometimes it does not. The dead can read the living's chat but only post on their own board. The reasoning for this posting is hidden form the living*****

Assuming that via lynching is ACTUALLY the escape route...I cant see another method escaping atm though


The town need to work out what the room pattern is..the mafia need too as well but will see the discussion and try and screw it up
