I have now posted mafia game thread.

I will ask as a closed thread no mod comments on it.

It is open for reading and stickied. This gives all weekend to read and absorb.

Roles are to be sent out on weekend. this will issue private forums for groups etc.

 

Is there a no lynch vote?

 

Is the serial killer required to kill each night? Does failure to select a target produce a punishment or randomly selected target?

Serial killer has a compulsion but that's just one secret amongst many secrets in game

 

Has everyone received their PM for their role yet or is it only the Townie roles that have been pm'd so far

MITO, don't really get the whole hitman played by you thing.... what's the point in that

 

I think he basically means the hitman is a fictional character within the game

 

Order of actions see's the cop arrest someone first (even before the lunch) but in the notes you say lynching takes priority

So out of 17 unknown players, initially 7 are non-town and 10 are town

Usually no lynch is the best town option due to the lack of information. In this game there are multiple ways for people to die plus the mafia earn cash each round. 7/17 = 41% chance of randomly lynching a bad guy is quite generous odds.

 

One thing we can be sure of... if it's MITO, the hitman is definitely a ****

 

And there is one known innocent from the start. This role should be used immediately to take away Mafia knowledge advantage. Let the known innocent choose 3 or 4 randoms for the first days lynch, let him tell us all who to vote for and let's see who doesn't fall in line (and I'm saying this before any roles have been given out)

 

I know one thing that will die during this game, possibly several times over...MY PHONE BATTERY!!!

 

I think the police chief should activate his cop immediately. I don't see any known reason to wait.

The masons also know each other so if we could (but I can't see how) follow their votes it would slightly increase the odds of randomly choosing a bad guy. They would have the only legitimate reason to not go along with the chief i.e. if one of them was chosen by the cop.

 

No. No need to complicate things. One known innocent, let that person lead.

 

I don't think people should be coming up with strategies before the game.

Think it defeats the whole object,.. You've pretty much just ruined the first night now....

Possibly. And others that don't will immediately be under suspicion even though they may want to play the game their own way from day 1 rather than a set of rules agreed before hand



just saying, I think any kind of atamrategiea should be talked once the game starts as it helps get things going rather than deciding now and then say 1 is just a bit dull.

Say au it during the game then you can form debate between people and see if people are being suspiciously disruptive or genuine.
