The 3rd Party Roles

The Hitman:

The hitman is neither town nor aligned with any other group. (I cannot see how we can reliably communicate the hits between players and have the hitman as a real role which would be to be able to say yes/no at 8pm each night if people change their minds late. If someone can suggest something I’ll listen but the hits have to be given as flexibly to the instigators as possible.)

This means for this game I am the hitman. I will take the money in form everyone and run a tally of how much the hitman makes. If I kill lots I suppose I might end up richest man in the town…. In any event I will also roll the dice. Which means funnily I can kill myself in the game.

If the hitman role dies he dies and the power to kill goes with him. This can occur if serial killer or vigilante or cop is targeted.

I need to re-read some bits to work out how the kills etc are working..

I tend to find myself re-reading the rules more than actually playing the game!

Can other people hire the hitman? I'd assume the policeman can't, but if the journo is earning money for every article they write and from the classifieds, maybe they are able to hire him as well?

Although that begs the question of why the journo would kill the mason!

Tell me about it haha!

Unfortunately the masons are now irrelevant since we don't know who Bodanki's fellow member was, unless they can come forward with any kind of convincing evidence that they were.

I'm sure there must be something to learn from the activity so far, but each time I think I'm on to something I (or someone else) find a reason why it might not figure. I need to assess posts and patterns again (including the 'inactives').

Nothing wrong with shoving them down though... even if you have doubts.

Allows others to discuss and if an accusation is in there it might lead to someone getting way too defensive etc...

Yeah this is the kind of time when we have no info to go on (unless we get another lucky witness report or the journo saw something) where people need to just start slinging **** at the wallls and see what sticks.

Personally I'm struggling to get many reads since I don't know any of you bastards or how your games usually go. Initially I had an inkling on goonercymraeg since he was active and posting elsewhere for much of yesterday but never showed up here, and then Gerrez immediately tried to redirect me from that back to afcftw's alphabet plan, that made me suspicious but surely there's no way they're in cahoots as they allowed a coin flip to decide a lynch they were both up for. I also found Gerrez a bit suspicious in general seemed to be overcompensating a bit trying to look like a town, and then looking to afcftw to guide his vote when we pretty much had a 100% lynch... But by all accounts Gerrez is a shifty bugger anyway so maybe he's actually innocent.

Where do we stand for tomorrow?

Are we going to vote for an inactive? If not, who and why?

I can't think of any specific action anyone has taken ( now Mikey seems to be kosher) to put them in front of the lynch mob. Or I could just be missing all the key points again.
