Obviously, the mafia would be able to keep an eye on the votes so they would know if one of theirs was at risk. Question is, would the conversion be wasted if a member of their team wasn't eliminated
i dunno... milk will tell us. I assume everyone will read the op and not make such a mistake anyway but i'm sure milk wouldn't take that move away. He has been specific that if the two try to assassinate the same person that he'll flip a coin to see who gets the kill and by extension the other gets the action back so i guess a minor clarification that the action would be returned here. ----------------------- i was also thinking. in the end it would mean that actually the lead spy or godfather is just a hidden goon that can't be found by the townsfolk and are actually not that big a deal but killing off the recruiter might be best for the town first. The two mafia teams are i THINK competing to be the biggest element in the town. I think that means if one is on say 3 members (i think this is max number) then the town has to be on 2 and so does the other team. that mean for a win...... 3+2+2 = 7 people so thats 4 kills (max) and 3 lynchings.... that would be possible as two teams can kill each night so 3 nights to that win. For the town to win it needs to eliminate all 6 mafia/kgb = prob possible in <6 nights but hard i think. Should be fun and game surely has to run for a while..
Took me about 4 attempts to understand what you were saying Yeah, I guess they could recruit on the first night if they knew their own player was going to be killed...? Surely they'd prefer to try and save their own member though? Also, thing to look out for is that we may see the mafia less inclined to save one of their own (unless it is the recruiter) because they know the only time they can recruit another is if one dies... means might get ome mafia voting for their own team if they look a gonner anyway
if they has someone lynched then you might be right... they could. however..... I think it'll be mostly just harder to see a group at play like you were last time as looking back i could see when you planted seeds cos i knew things but only on day 3 when i looked back. I think with 2 teams playing against each other and the town having 2 people working together.... well any 2 votes together could be viewed suspiciously so it'll be very hard to detect things. I don't think it'd be wise to assume that cos two people voted the same way they are a team.... I dunno but I think this one will be a challenge of figure out.
I did play a blinder last game though Think I peaked too early Wasn't insinuating 2 people voting for same person might be on same team, more than if someone looks to be going, wouldn't discount anyone that had voted for them as not being on their team as they know they have to kill to recruit anyway.
If mafia or kgb try to recruit when they can't (have 3 already) I won't hold it against them. They will keep recruit ability. Just won't recruit anyone. Presumably they wouldn't do this unless teammate death were inevitable.

I could see the few posts that tipped it for him too.... nice to be in the know mind... prob would not have seen it so credit to bod. I get what you are saying totally. I think it should be for round 2 thouhg. i'd be disappointed if we've one person up by that much day 1. I certainly have said and will say I'll vote for another person to get them up there. ............... also finally I felt last time we fixated on the people already voted for and i'd like a full run down of all people, talkititve or quiet. (rememebr peoepl ar eon at different times too) if people are getting a free ride just by not being up for a vote and are able to sit back and coast thats bad.
Technically possible game ends with town win in 2 nights. Example. Night 1 Godfather lynched. KGB assassinate mafia recruiter. Mafia assassinate KGB recruiter. Night 2 lead spy lynched. Kgb assassinates mafia assassin. Vigilante assassinates. Kgb assassin. This is a hugely unlikely scenario... but possible. For Mafia/KGB to win in fewest possible nights. Night 1. Town lynch. KGB and Mafia both hit town. Town down to 6 people. Night 2. Town lynch. KGB and Mafia both hit town. Town down to 3. Vigilante kills Mafia recruiter. 3 vs 2 vs 3 Night 3. Mafia lynch. Vigilante kills Mafia. 3 vs 0 vs 3. Night 4. Town lynch. Mafia wins due to having majority. Again highly unlikely to go exactly like that. I predict game lasting 6 or 7 days.
I wasn't saying it would be worthwhile tactic to adopt, just just asking if it was possible because of what MITO claimed MITO... Take this in a nice way but I'm genuinely not going to believe a word you say to me after Mafia 1 (this isn't relevant to anything you've said, just throwing it out there)

That would be very foolish of you either way, I had a job to do then and I did it. Just look to the facts. Everyone is under suspicion until they are dead or the fame ends. For me the votes are the clues so don't believe a word anyone says as I could equally say hey you are discrediting me using two games ago ergo why? Until you or one of your team votes for me it's just words
Don't think so - I'd have thought the Mafia / KGB would win even if they have an absolute majority, so if there are only five people left and three of them are Mafia then Mafia win even if the other two are KGB. Either way, if either side loses their recruiter they will be utterly screwed, as they will only have two members and so will have to kill off all bar one of the remaining town!
