Saints have launched a twitter competition as part of the kit launch marketing promotion of [HASHTAG]#MadeForHeroes[/HASHTAG]

You just have to share your favourite "heroic" Saints related moment.

Thought I would create a thread as an excuse to post some highlight videos

As hero is now such an over-used word, could we have a steer on what this means in this context? I don't do Twitter, so am not going to be competing, but just wondered what a "hero" is in this context? Ryan Bertrand going to help at Grenfell Tower is laudable, and requires more "heroism" than making a great tackle or providing a goal scoring opportunity. but I'm pushed to get "hero" in the footballing context - particularly at the moment.

Sorry. Just the moaning of a grumpy old bastard. But I would love to see the word "hero" used a little more sparingly.

1999 - Saints in deep relegation trouble. Only three points will do against an already safe Wimbledon.
10,000 Saints fans make the trip to turn this match into a home fixture and "Dellhurst Park".
Who can become a "hero"?

I agree this is all marketing hyperbole, but share your most joyous moment watching the saints you grumpy old bastard <cheers>

That is a great reminder of what Le Tiss did and meant to the club. Inspirational and pure genius.

Ditto Legend and several other descriptions. I'm also in the G.O.B. category.

Off the field problems would characterize two turbulent seasons at St Mary's, but this remarkable match was a rare moment of euphoria

I still feel bad we had to sell Drew Surman. And what a player Saganowski was!

Souness transferred in a lot of foreign talent in 96/97 as the premier league money started to give the league a more cosmopolitan feel, but with relegation again threatening the saints, it was a man from Devon with huge side burns that produced the goods
