I doubt it will make much difference though.
The FA is an institution far removed from reality in the year 2020. I think a lot of them still think it's 1920.
If Paul Elliott gets the job and nothing changes, people will assume - probably very unfairly - that he's just window dressing.
If Paul Elliott tries hard to drive through real change (upsets the old school tie brigade), the FA will work out a way to dump him.
Either way the old farts will win.
But I'll admire the man for trying anyway.
