Jamie Mackie rturns after recovering from a broken leg
QPR forward Jamie Mackie has been given the green light to return to first team training after recovering from the broken leg he suffered last season.
Mackie has spent the last seven months on the sidelines after sustaining a double leg break in a challenge with Blackburn’s El Hadji Diouf in an FA Cup tie in January.
But after seeing a specialist this week, Mackie has been told he can return to training, although he will not play any part in QPR’s match with Aston Villa on Sunday.
The 25-year-old Scotland international, who has nine QPR goals to his name, began last season in fine form before the injury at Ewood Park ended his season prematurely.
Despite that injury, the former Plymouth Argyle and Wimbledon man was named in Neil Warnock’s 25-man squad in September.
