Taylor is showing his true colours on his Twitter account. Calling one fan a “cry baby” and generally acting like a swaggering Street kid. The mask is slipping. 14 clubs for a reason.
A new contract offered by DUCHATELET - so not worth a packet of peanuts. What the potty Belgian is doing offering contracts now is inexplicable. He has lost his last marble.
When Bowyer was offered a contract by RD, our manager had to take it to Richard Murray and ask what it was. Even Murray didn't know. I doubt Taylor has been offered a contract worthy of the name, certainly not by Belgium's own Ebeneezer Scrooge.
Sorry, but that's a loaded question, and a pretty dumb one in my opinion. You'll hardly find more than a handful of Charlton fans who will say any player who wants to go should be forced to stay. A much more revealing question would be If Lyle Taylor says he wants to stay at Charlton beyond January, should he still be sold? Has Taylor himself said he wants to leave CAFC? Do any of his tweets say he wants to leave? If he has not, then all this talk about him wanting out is based on nothing but rumours. How quickly some fans have turned on the man whose goals were a huge factor in Charlton being in the Championship at all, and the 5 he scored before getting injured are the main reason Charlton are not in the relegation zone right now.
Not sure about that Lardy. You should create a Twitter account I would say the main reason we are not in the bottom 3 is the stellar form of Cullen and Gallagher. Taylor hasn’t kicked a ball for us in over three months. We have looked a noticeably weaker team since Cullen’s injury. What the poll shows, and I see this on my own Twitter timeline, is that many Charlton fans have grown bored of Bertie Big Bollox.
I have no time for Twatter. Of course, the loss of Williams and Cullen has led to our current form crisis. But the rot set in (wins began to dry up) pretty much as soon as Taylor got injured. 14 points from our first 6 games is the reason we are not in the drop zone right now. The 6 games Taylor played in, scoring 5 goals. PS: It's exactly because I have no time for Twatter that Lyle Taylor does not annoy me. Why should I care that he gets into rows with Charlton fans on that stupid soshal media platform? I care about the goals he scores for CAFC. He was as important to our promotion season as Lee Bowyer and Patrick Bauer. And I'm not about to kick him when he's down over some silliness on a pointless internet gossip/abuse exchange.
Lyle Taylor Baby, Lyle Taylor O-o-o-oh... And for the vital point... He used to be sh*te, but now he's alright, walking in a Naby Wonderland...
Even if Taylor does not get a move in January, it's beginning to look like he may never be the player he was again earlier this season. That's a pity, as he has served the Club well, and I don't mind his social media activities. It has been said that Taylor has turned down an £18K per week contract offer to stay. I don't know if that's true or not. If its true, we can't afford what he wants. The money is there, but one player on hugely inflated wages will distrupt dressing room harmony. Could well do more harm than good. Time for Bowyer & Gallen to target one or two quality replacements, with the help of the new owners. We should be able to get players in who will come for less than £18k per week (even if not a lot less).
