No they didn't do that but there are loads of food and drink places doing all sorts of food, you could order 18 inch pizzas FFS.
Ouch, I missed that scoreline when looking over the scores this weekend. I feel bad for you Libs. That explains HIAGs Bambi bumping then.
Flying back tonight. Doing top of the rock now. Too much tourist stuff for my liking but having to compromise for the family. Full report in my thought on NYC to follow.
Will be interesting I've always had the impression, that NY is dirty, noisy, smelly shhitehole, much the same as parts of LA used to be and probably still are through the cloud of smogg that don't lift until around midday. Yeah it has it's typical tourist attractions, and I'm sure there are certain times of year when you can get more out of the place, much like Christmas. The food will have been more than plenty and the beer much like piss. I'd imagine NY to be slightly more expensive than a lot of other places in the US. It's 24 hour City, so it's constantly busy, if you actually spot any Americans amoungst all the tourists, they will be typical loud and brash. How many times was you mistaken for an Australian and don't forget to tip!? As I say, will be interested to know, how close that is to the truth....have a good day.
I’m not a fan. I’ve spent quite a lot of time there and had some fun nights out but it’s like London on speed and London is ****.
I don't see London as ****. different yes. Lot's to do and see, so can see the attraction, especially if your a foreigner.
I like em both - in relatively small doses. I sometimes “live” in central London when I’m over there and I lived in midtown when I worked in NYC. Easy enough to get out of town for the weekend.
It's a place of extreme contrasts, the people there are either very friendly and helpful or complete ****s. It's clean though, well in the tourist areas at least I didn't go off and explore much on this trip as it was a family thing. No litter on the streets and bars and restaurants are clean and tidy, the food is either awful with just huge portions of crap food or really nice. We stuck to the American stuff as we wanted to try it all and generally it's really good, it's varied if you want it and there's food from all over the world available. I was surprised with the beers as nobody seems to drink the Bud or Millar light options and everyone is on Sam Adams or Brooklyn lager or one of the many very nice options. It's expensive, tipping is getting out of hand, I knew about tipping and was happy to do that but it's added to the bill a lot now and the standard is 18% I decided that was too much so took it off and paid what I wanted in cash, they seemed happy enough with that and this is probably down to it being cash in hand other than on a card. We traveled everywhere on the tube and it's easy enough to use, saw all the main sights which is something I hate, I'd rather visit just a couple of places other than running from one to the next and that has trainted my opinion on the place, I didn't enjoy the holiday for that reason and was glad to get home. I think I may have enjoyed it if it was just me and Mrs luv and we had just chilled out and done our own thing.
