Sounds pretty positive. Three of the four able to undergo fitness checks so hopefully at least one of them available. Hopefully its Gordon.

This is when howe should rest them and give them another couple of weeks... at least 1.

I'm sure you were pleased to hear that Lascelles is part of Eddie's "long term plans" as the club look to discuss renewing his contract.

If they are fit they should be available. There is the two week winter break coming up in a week or so’s time.

If they are injured or injuries reoccur it will be far more costly long term than if you give them a little longer now.

This is exactly why I've been raising concerns and asking questions about Howes squad management rather than just 'luck'... I mean it could be all luck, but I'm not a believer is hocus pocus, so I'm looking at other possibilities and solutions.

Steve Bruce was the same he kept throwing them back out and I remember specifically many Newcastle fans pointing to it.

Murphy the simplest case in point. Willock also I think.

Howe also said he sees Hall as part of the long term future and that he has the right attibutes, but they are working on certain aspects if his game and so to be patient with him. So who knows.

When they signed him, perhaps they saw him as more 'one for the future' and weren't expecting to have to throw him in quite so soon, but the injuries have meant he's been needed on the bench.

Poster Boy now arguing for VAR and, therefore, more referees.

<laugh>
I have always believed that VAR is the way to go and it would.stop.the corruption on the pitch.
Why do you think.all.the previous top. Referees all packed in refereeing in the middle when VAR was introduced. They can't manipulate the game anymore
They all retired and now have cushy little jobs within the PGMOL where they can still influence inexperienced (fast tracked) refs
We now have a woman reffing in the premier league despite her very limited experience in the lower
leagues.(tick box refereeing as its known)
Same as the Black ref, pgmol ticking boxes and ignoring other refs with more experience
