I honestly think he's had enough and is looking for the pay-off. I've nothing against him personally, and I don't agree with the flak his kids are getting, but it's in everyone's interest he leaves very shortly.
For those who haven't twigged - what McCann's saying is 'I've done my bit right, it's the players who are ****ing it up'
He certainly is. We were dominating midway through the second half on Wednesday and about to take the lead. Magennis skies it, heads drop, they win. That’s on the players more than the managers I would think? You know the pro game attitudes better than most on here HT2.
It's almost always easier, less disruptive and cheaper to blame the manager and cheaper sack them then it is a player. The players we have need to take responsibility just as much as grant does in some instances. The piss poor defensive mistakes some have made this season and things like pen misses and clear cut chances that get missed are on the players and not the management. It's just not working for grant at Hull City just as it doesn't work at some clubs for some players. He needs to move on and restart his career elsewhere IMO. Just as in the past it's not worked for players who have come to Hull but have ether smashed it before coming to us or have after leaving us. If it goes well it's the players and if it goes wrong its the manager. That's how's it's always seen within the game rightly or wrongly.
Head and heart for me, sadly cannot see anything but a thumping, much as I hope it’s this week we make a turning point. Come on City, I’d love to be proven wrong! Why? Head; we have a “Manager” who can’t pick his nose, let alone a winning team/formation. We have a Manager in denial, evidenced by today's conference comments. He just doesn’t see what everyone sees, no ingame management skills. Forget getting Thudd in the gym, get him involved in the coaching, sidelines, coaching on passing skills, free kicks, set pieces. Team is just impotent in front of net. Heart; we have two Luton supporting friends, pass holders, have warned them, beware of the wounded Tiger, would absolutely love to have the bragging rights. Incidentally, they sing Moncur’s praises, and cannot understand why he’s not featuring.
I remember the game in 1971, lost 3 1 if my memory serves me well. Malcolm McDonald now he was a striker! Scored for Luton. Ken Houghton scored the City goal. Billy B
I’ve been really disappointed with Moncur so far. I just don’t think he’s shown enough. He’s clearly talented, just seems a bit of an enigma on the pitch.
Emmanuel and Moncur should both be playing imo. It's McCann's job to figure how to utilise them, but he can't as he can't see past his 'one plan / philosophy'. That's not managing a football team. But never mind, the formula is clearly working.
Well it’s Not exactly easy to have much optimism, so I’m afraid it’s a 2.0 defeat for me. I just hope they prove me and most on here wrong, I can’t see it but like every game I always have hope. A point would be wonderful at this moment in time.
3-1 defeat for me. Surely he’s not stupid enough not to find a starting spot for the returning Moncur, oh wait…
