I think he is just that type of person, his interview afterwards was quite painful to listen to, he seems a very shy sort of guy. He does his talking with his feet.
Just watched these highlights.... Two brilliant stops by George Long..... and has Turbo developed a new found 'love in' with the travelling...?
I think he has finally realised that playing week in week out is better than bench-warming at a EPL club. Also, there is quite a large Polish community in the Hull area, so he has people of his own kind to socialise with.
I was convinced it was 4-0. Got back on the mini bus and we were 50 miles down the M1 before someone pulled me up and said it was only three. I thought they were taking the piss, it was 4-0, I saw us score four goals. I'm still doubting myself this morning.
Really? I though he had a great first half. Luton’s right midfielder/winger couldn’t get the ball past him in the first half.
Really? I thought Stewart has always been a popular player. That's the impression I got on here anyway.
We have more points than we had at the same stage last season. So to those who say it's a "managerial problem", give the guy a break. He inherited another squad that had to be rebuilt during the summer. A squad clearly not as good as it was last year. A club with huge problems, so to jump on his back seven or eight games in is ludicrous. It took Adkins a long time last year to get us going as it does with most teams with lots of new signings. All of us wanted him to stay come the end of the season so let's give McCann a break and support the bloke.
That’s exactly why he’s the man for the job IMHO Concentrating on doing the job he’s paid to do instead of responding to inadequates who like to be waved at to give themselves a sense of worth {I’m not a big fan of that particular chant!}
That was a good win for city and it looked like quite a lot of city supporter made the trip Would have liked to have been there as I haven't been to Lutons Ground in the past
Ooh my little stalkers back. The managerial problem was not getting the most out of a Good defence and midfield, surely you agree, I mean you put against Wigan "The subs have not worked at all. Taking Batty off has left us completely open in midfield. Looks like Noone knows where they are playing and it is just put as many attacking players on as possible and hope it works." Were you getting on his back here? Or just making a comment about his performance as a manager? So let's give him a a break eh!
Went in 1972, 2-1 to City, both goals by Ken Houghton, Stuart Pearson had perfectly good goal disallowed.
Far too much knee jerk reaction at times but that’s how its always been for some. McCann,or any new manager come to think of it need more than 8 games to implement his style of playing. Given the clubs current situation with player uncertainty and how much loose change McCann has to work with I’m not expecting much more than what Nigel achieved. We can obviously score a few but that could all change in January. Yesterday’s victory and a clean sheet was down to a good team performance but that’s all it was really...three more points.
Hopefully a turning point , we have threatened to put a few past somebody for a while . Not sure how we played overall as I didn’t listen to it or go , but can’t knock a clean sheet away win .
I am unsure how I feel about McCann yet, but the only thing I do not like so far is his admittance he will never consider changing formation under any circumstance , I just found that an odd thing to say. Even the greatest managers change things if needed . I’m not saying he should stray from it now, but if we went 50 games without a win , be worth a shout .
