Oh well, shame it had to be against this ugly team with their ugly manager, but might calm the hype down a bit. We are still a good team. In previous incarnations this might herald 4 or 5 losses on the bounce, I’m confident that won’t happen under current management.

    Move on.

Not at all , there was some braindead defending at times and just total lack of thinking involved

You'd just love to use Nathan Jones' face as a trampoline, wouldn't you....

You'd thought he'd won the ****ing league the way he was celebrating there - ****

They seemed to have more energy than us from the off. We looked right off our game

Pity it's them but you can't win them all.

Agree with that. At times it was like we were just going through the motions. Games like these, where we can't muster that energy or bit of class is what will make us finish outside the top 6. There will (as col said) be more of these games and we have to learn as to why we can't match the oppositions intensity. There are various reasons in my opinion, not quick enough passing, the movement for the man in possession was non existent, too many touches of the ball by single players (Chair & tim). All slow our attacking play down.
With or without Willock, we need to do improve these things over a consistent period.

This feels pivotal to me. A very poor performance right across the team, two more injuries in a defence that was looking impregnable in recent weeks, and a complete dud going forward. The next game will tell us a lot about how the season will pan out I think.

That's down to the manager to drum into them surely ! Playing Roberts every gane will kill us, Amos should've been playing in his position today, was a waste of 2 positions in the end. Dozzell instead of Timpal too should've been the way to go. Laird an obvious miss along with Chris

Just a very bad day at the office today. We all have them, so just focus on the next game. Hopefully the injury news on Dunne and Balogun is not too bad.

On the train after being frogmarched around Luton at a snail’s pace for no reason.

Thought we were soft. Chair tried to do too much and was largely marked out the game without Willock. Roberts did nothing at all to help and we offered very little beyond set pieces. The less said about the second goal the better but we’ve defended so well recently we were due a rick.

Highlight of the game was a few teenagers giving it a real go against some stewards and police at the back of the stand after the second goal.

Is some of that hindsight though. For every 1 good thing Roberts does, he does 8 **** things. If you look deep, that could be said about many players relative to their position. Tim has been getting caught in possession since he arrived, either dawdling on the ball or shoved off it but he was a hero last week for a forwards run that won a pen. Its all ifs and buts to be fair. I would have started him but in hindsight I wouldn't have.

Nope I wanted that line up to start with. I think Roberts is utter **** and wouldn't have him anywhere near my team.

Seemed like one of those refs who doesn’t like football very much but loves making sure a free kick is taken from the correct blade of grass.

A very disappointing result and two crocked CBs. Hope Laird and Willock are fit for Wednesday.

So is Roberts any good or not? I’ve been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt for weeks now. Sometimes he looks classy, but he’s obviously not good enough for the PL, and doesn’t seem to be able to do much apart from attract fouls at this level. I’ve been kidding myself that’s he’s adding something that I don’t fully understand, but it strikes me that there might be less to him than meets the eye. He’s the one I’d drop when Willock is fit again.

Not loads of options there tbf though agree he’s not done much. Adomah maybe but he’s about 53 and probably can’t last more than a half judging by how little he’s played this season. Shodipo may or may not still be alive.

Couldn't follow today but for whatever reason Jones really wanted to beat QPR which he's done. Hopefully we can repay the favour at HQ. Move on and hope for better on 19th.

Last season was pivotal as we beat them then went on a massive losing run! Can we hope for the reverse now they've won?!
