Why not? I thought that Lumley made a decent effort to gift us victory against Middlesbrough at KPFS.
No I was suggesting that as Willock took the corner he was technically closer to the by line / goal line which played Amos onside at that moment, however he was then offside as Dickie played the ball, however either way is now irrelevant as the records will forever state we won the game
I'm certainly not a relentless optimist unfortunately, and not too good on "civic duties" "twisted"!!!!!, or not. I just dont get the constant negativity from some even when we have just won, gone 4th again and that with a much lower Budget than many of our promotion rivals, not Luton. But don't worry about it
I wondered if the ball going in the goal off Dickie's shoulder without him knowing f*** all about it even counts as playing the ball when it comes to offside or not. But I'm sure our resident Offside experts know. As you say the goal was given a goal and we won.

You can't be played onside by your own teammate.[/QUOTE] You can according to the Official rules posted by Uber if you are the recipient of a corner.

I even like the correction of the grammar by putting in the full stop at the end of the sentence. Just a tip though just edit the original post! It may be in the nature of football internet forums that its contributors can vent their spleens about individual players, the team as a whole and the manager. Undoubtedly it is their right to do so. Just not terribly helpful. Ever. Not to mention a bit tedious watching some jump on the back of the team, certain players and the manager at every possible opportunity. It's not that long ago when posters were highly critical of Amos and Thomas. Now it seems there is a belief they can do no wrong. Forgive if I got this wrong but on the few occasions when Thomas has started he has always disappointed and few ever gave Amos credit for his positivity or his match winning skills but were quick to jump in him every game for every misplaced or sideways pass. I remember even if the posters concerned don't. That is why I simply can't be bothered to watch the match day thread live. The inconsistency in mood is both irritating and hilarious at the same time. I've been away for a week in Toon on a case so haven't bothered to embark on the rollercoaster ride of the Forest matchday thread yet. Can't wait.
Go on, treat yourself - maybe open a good bottle of scotch to drink so it all blurs into one forgettable rant
When you say 'open' do you mean 'down the whole bottle' because it's so bad and which one? I like a nice Glenfiddich every so often. That will mellow out any disappointment nicely.
Think somehow I posted something twice, so just deleted one by replacing the content with a full stop. But yes it is certainly ridiculous that some call Hendrick with 70 something International appearances for Ireland and 100's of PL games recently f***** s****, after just a couple of games or so for us. Like our squad is loaded with players with that kind of CV. His good quick passing game in his first games has lost its edge in the last couple of games and I have little doubt this is due to this sort of abuse he gets on here, other forums and social media. As you say so rightly, it's not terribly helpful. Ever.
