It wasn't his fault. He had to step inside to mark the guy in the middle. The guy in the middle was the more dangerous player in the build up. Tanaka lost the ball which pulled Rodon to right back, which pulled Struijk to right centre half which pulls Firpo to left centre half.

I've spent hours and hours doing defence vs attack stuff which coaches defenders to do exactly what Firpo did. It's just playing percentages.
