Evening all. Hope everyone is having a good weekend and enjoying the sun.
Luton are coming to play on Monday and the game provides us with a chance to do the double over them.
The Hatters are having a great season as they continue to forget the oblivion they were once forced into not too long ago.
I'm guessing the home fans might stay in the bar for the first half given that we don't seem to start playing until the second. It seems no matter what the line up is, the pattern remains. Perhaps Mr Morison could do his halftime talk at 14.45?
In days gone by, a home game against the Hatters was the backdrop for the infamous "V"sign from Robin Friday as he sat down their goalie. (See ninian opinions profile for an illustration).
Anyway, as usual, fill yer boots.

Will be absent on Monday as away in Poole visiting my daughter and beautiful grandaughter.

I will probably spend 2 hours or so staring nervously at my phone.

Luton have been offered nearly 2,500 tickets and after their blood thirsty win over Forest will probably take them all. Hope enough Bluebirds turn up to enhance the atmosphere.

Enjoy all.

TEAM NEWS
Cardiff City XI: Phillips; Drameh, Nelson, Ng, Bagan; Wintle, Vaulks; Doyle, Colwill; Doughty Hugill.

Subs: Luthra, Denham, McGuinness, Flint, Harris, Davies, Ikpeazu.

Looks like the Easter Bunny visited them not us.

Half Luton out injured then 2 subbed off with injuries and we still can't score.

Just Boro, Sheff Utd and Direby then Brum at home to look forward to.

Can’t wait for this terrible season to finish.

Didn’t make their keeper save anything 2nd half. Pathetic.

Again more blatant evidence that Vaulks is just not anything other than a parks player. Davies equally poor today.

Roll on the final whistle to end this shocking season

Agreed - a bigger rebuild required than Ukraine.

That may not be an appropriate comment regarding the horrific circumstances out there, but the the respective tasks for both are immense.

Championship status assured which didn't look likely for quite a while. Steps taken to get away from mindless hoofball. And with the exception of one freak result, we've stopped being a pushover for all and sundry. Important now that we live within our means and continue to change the ethos of the club. Rome not built in a day.

I concur .....BUT we should still get a result at home against these
even their manager agrees , and as quoted on bbc

Luton manager Nathan Jones:

"The games are getting tough, not just because they are Championship games but because we are losing players.

"I have got 10 injuries - eight central midfield players out - we are patching everything up.

"We dug deep, we kept a clean sheet, defended our box and converted one of our chances.

"It's the best squad I have ever seen for togetherness. I can be vociferous and demanding but they work hard and are over-achieving.

"Our budget is bottom three. We wouldn't be top eight budget in League One, so to be fourth in the Championship and competing against some of the juggernauts is a wonderful story."

I think that speaks volumes for the way Luton went about things once they changed things when starting with a clean sheet in non league football. The fact that they can win with so many players sidelined just demonstrates the effectiveness of their change if ethos. This is the result of many seasons work. Our work is at the very beginning.
