You also have to consider the fact that as a defender you would not be confident in passing the ball back to him & you end up having an extra touch and either losing the ball or conceeding a corner/throw in/freekick when really the ball should have been punted in to the oppositions half.
Just needs more time on the training ground punting balls.

    I don't understand your point.

I used to consider him the natural successor to oliver tebilys " bombscare" title.....but he has definately improved in quite a few areas

From what I can make of the comments, generally, on this thread, TC seems to think he is poor and the rest are mostly unsure. My view is that there is no-one better who is available. He is still very young for a keeper and I believe he is steadily improving and growing in confidence which is everything in controlling his area. There is not a keeper around who has not made mistakes and he has made very few this season. I am impressed by him and hope we sign him up asap!

Another clean sheet today and a number of super saves. Anyone who still doubts the big fellows ability needs,
to examine their conscience and find out why they are thinking in such away. Since Ronnie Simpson we possibly
have had P.Bonner and Boric both of whom would compare favourably with our big felloe, the rest of our goalkeepers
    have regularly let us down.

But he saw Rogne offside , Fraser best save the st mirren player looked offside

Harry, the commentator said he was o/k. He was only slightly offside.
I think St Mirren fans would be pleased with the referee as he kept the cards in his pocket when the Saints floored Celtic players especially on the break.
He did not miss Thomas Rogne, who got the ball, on his first tackle and got a yellow.
Rangers cannot blame the referee and the officials in our match, they did their best for the bears.
