I like Moore, he's got a good touch. Problem is he doesn't fit our system as he is a bit lazy to be a sole striker/attacking centre mid and hasnt got a good defensive side to his game to play as a winger!
Dobbie scored 9 League goals last season, and Moore scored 3? This season Dobbie has been frozen out by Rodgers, but Moore has not, but how many League goals has Moore scored this season? well it's a big 1, sometimes managers don't get it right, and clearly Rodgers has cut down our goal threat by favouring Moore, as Dobbie is by far a greater goal threat than Moore will ever be, and so what if Dobbie doesn't back track or lose the ball, seem to remember Gower losing the ball plenty of times this season, but that didn't stop Rodgers playing him, now did it!.............. please log in to view this image
maybe dobbie needs to give BR a liverpool kiss to say "i am here, moore and lita are crap, gimme a run
You're right, DPJ. We've said it time and time again on here. Dobbie has been frozen out. Other posters have said he's not good enough at this level but he simply hasn't had enough game time imo. It would have been so easy to come to the same conclusion about Graham who, quite rightly, was given chance after chance to come good. Dobbie has not. Moore better than Dobbie? Not in a million years. How easy the fans forget the playoffs.
How easy they forget we are in a higher division as well, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and Luke moore love him or hate him is eating more Prem pie than Dobbie . Feel for the Dobster though, much like Mark Gower has been frozen out and kemy has struggled to hold down a regular place its not nice but i guess the bigger picture is that we are in tenth and the hard calls right or wrong have been made irrelevent of what we think of a player
Have a feeling there is more to the Dobbie exclusion than meets the eye, if you remember when he went up to Blackpool he was rarely first choice and was only used sparingly by Holloway. Maybe it is his workrate or lifestyle but Brendan has the most time for players who are total professionals both on and off the field. As for Moore I can see that he has technical skills that impress his manager but for most fans they want to see a player who is willing to give his all for the cause as well as having these skills (eg Danny, Leon, Nathan) and Luke is definitely not one of those. Was glad to see that Brendan decided to keep his first choice team on as long as possible yesterday, replacing Nathan so late did take the sting out of the game though that last minute chance for West Brom which squirmed just wide from Vorm's save had all of us down the other end holding our breath.
Liberty, I know what you mean, I'm glad I only watched it on the screen afterwards, even then my heart was in my mouth.
