Great signing, I love watching Lukaku play and would not be surprised if he is worth a lot more in a few years so its good business too.

I think the Chelsea fans are just pissed off that Lukaku can play against them next season so that's two games where they won't have a handicap advantage over everyone else in the league.

    lol not that.
More that we have sold a guy who could be awesome whilst we still have a donkey with two left feet in our squad.

Tremendous signing. Seems ironic that he proved himself so well last season that Chelsea have been able to slap another £10m on price. Like taking a Jag for a test drive, it turns out to fantastic, so the dealer adds £10k to it...

Anyway, your even better bit of business is tying Barkley down. Wonderful kid.

    Happy days for the ****e.

Don't agree mate. He was worth £25m last summer, as he'd already proved he was PL quality at WBA where he'd been sensational.

But you're right about him being a great signing, a 21 year old proven PL striker, with a 1 in 2 ratio? Chelsea were mad to get rid whilst keeping Torres and wheeling out a past legend.

It's as if we'd still kept hold of Carroll and sold Sturridge to try and convince ourselves we hadn't made an horrific mistake in the first place.

Some great features on Osman today, As you'll know, he's a player I've always admired - technically underrated, a fine crosser and plays with his head up. Hope he goes on to still be associated with the club after retirement. <ok>

    haha, nice analogy.

Agreed on Ossie. One of the boo boys favourites and gets ridiculous abuse from the more clueless element of our fanbase. Great pro and a very underated player.

All this Torres talk - who the **** in their right mnd is going to buy him. He's 30 and utter ****e.

Costa and Drogba came in, Jose had to sell one of his strikers. The only one that he's be able to sell is Lukaku as he's decent. Everton were familiar and vice versa - definately a good bit of business from Everton.

I do worry about squad depth though, other than their (very good) starting 11 - what have they got? Maybe Tobes could answer this, because I could be wrong!

We need cover up front and another attacking wide player mate. Those 2 positions aside we're fairly well covered squad wise.

Atsu is about to come in and fill one of those slots, so just another striker to find.

    Howard

    Coleman, Jags, Distin, Baines

    Barry, McCarthy

    Mirallas, Barkley, McGeady

    Lukaku

    2nd XI

    Robles

    Hibbert, Stones, Duffy, Garbutt

    Gibson, Besic

    Atsu, Osman, Oviedo
