I know what you mean but racial stereotyping breeds a different kind of reaction. The historical issues associated with matters of race are clearly problematic. As I say it's low end stuff and nothing to get overly excited about but I don't really see any need to stereotype by race.
- It's slow on the board at the moment - I'm on a long shift and bored ****less - I think its an important point worth discussing. Please take any of these reasons to excuse my obsession with Lukaku's phallic masterpiece!
Its intended as part of my pension as I own my own company and dont have a company scheme except some bits left over from when I worked in UK in my twenties. Don't ever intend living there. I love the North - the people, the countryside etc. Have no idea where I will retire to but know the wife wants to live in UK so hope it will be up north (and preferably uphill from the earl) so that I can roll down on a Matchday and reminisce about how strange it seems to be three times Premier League title winners after we were so crap when Ashley owned us.
It supports a stereotype but everyone needs to stop acting like a bunch of ****ing cucks and calm their asses down. It's a joke. No one was killed and most of the damage done is by the people over reacting to the joke.
No you are wrong as usual. It's a massive issue trivialised by racist people like yourself. You should be ashamed.
I honestly can't understand the logic in people being offended by this. Lukaku was highly amused by it till the PC brigade got up in arms about it.
PC brigade? Damn Kick It Out and their over the top fight against racism in football! Remember the good old days when you could make monkey chants and throw bananas at 'the darkies'.
I only liked this because I thought it was being sarcastic. If it wasn't then please all ignore my like!
KickitOut didn't start the campaign about the chant, it was some supporters trust members (yes, I meant that) who started it, no doubt keen to make a name for themselves. KickItOut haven't been overly aggressive in chasing the issue beyond some throwaway lines, because it's a bit farcical really. Man Utd are careful of their billion pound brand and want to be seen to be transparent and perfect. It's kind of sucked the life out of the chant and made it something it's not, and literally those singing it now are just anti-establishment. Realistically, as someone said, the French day we held and subsequent chants is much more likely to be deemed offensive. How about the alternative Never Walk Alone chant? The many Sunderland ones? It really was not offensive, by design or otherwise, other than in a family setting, in which most might say fair enough. But the ****s who sit in silence all game and **** off on 85 mins have effectively won. Bunch of joyless ****s that ruin football fanship for everyone.
I'm an extremely well hung white, pointy eared white male and the song " look at Spock with the massive cock " which is often sung when I'm shopping in Tesco bothers me not. That said, I am now barred from said store for continually shopping with my knob hanging out.
It seemed to be reported as a Kick It Out thing from what I read but fair enough. I was just saying that really because there have been a number of comments about 'the PC brigade'. It's a term the gets on my tits, as if those battling racism and prejudice are in some way the problem just because a fringe go too far with it occasionally. There is a line that can be crossed with chants but this isn't it. Have to say, though, that the French day was utterly cringeworthy with the twats wearing stripey shirts and berets.
