Cheers Colonel, but Syd's already seen at least one thread where it was discussed, I believe. Michigan will just burn himself out, once he's had enough comments deleted.
I wish I could share your optimism but someone willing to create loads of accounts over a couple of years isn't going to give up because of comments being deleted for a few months
i like ensil..he comes across as a bit of a grandspurs at times but he is efficent..well played ensil
He's too dense to change his style though, so he'll create new accounts again and then just get more comments deleted. He'll get bored once he gets no replies, as his comments are unseen.
The problem with keeping Modric isn't any sort of transfer fee, but having the player's head turned, SNIOM. Your assessment of his ability matches my own, though. Most Spurs fans appear to share it, too.
Blimey. Here I am agreeing with a Gooner. Seriously, unless there is a ridiculous bid for Modric, something like the Carroll, or Torres bids, then I think he will stay for at least one more year. However,if we don't show our stated level of ambition, and sign some top players - make a concentrated push for a CL place - then I think it may be hard to stop him going in a years time.
That's the point in it, SNIOM. Virtually as soon as the season finished, out came the Modric to Utd or Chelsea stories and now come the low-ball bids. Nobody thought that Spurs would accept a bid of £22m for him, so why make the bid, other than as an attempt to unsettle? Club loyalty is largely dead, though I'm not sure if ever truly existed. Kenny Dalglish famously tore down the Rangers posters in his room as a 16-year-old, as Celtic's assistant manager came to speak to him, for example.
Harry and Modric have both said no transfer will happen Of course that didn't suit the Big 4 loving media so they continued with the speculation Now the best they can get is Harry saying no transfer will happen and Modric saying any offer has to be acceptable to Tottenham Bless those pathetic gloryhunting journalists
Cheers Sami. I would only point out that, cynical as it may sound, there's a price for everything. As with Andy Carroll, there would be a point where Levy and Harry just couldn't say No. Where that would be, I don't know. But I guess, in excess of £40mm.
