Yeah with Alan Smith and Quentin Fortune in our midfield <laugh>

You guys raised the standard in the league when you came in with all that money, and it just took SAF a few seasons to build a side to topple you, which he did eventually, costing Mourinho his job in the process.

Despite all the money, you still played ****e football, and still do to this day. The only time you played well was when you had Ancelotti there. It must wind you Chelsea fans up, that despite all the money you spend, you still can't entertain the supporters in the same way other clubs can:biggrin:

I wasp pretty entertained mate <ok>
I know it must have been sad for you watching greats such as Kleberson and Djemba Djemba and Quinton Fortune marshalling your side.
    But I was pretty happy.

our 2012 champions league win, I will concede, ultra defensive
But in 2005? Our 4-2 win over Bayern, 3 goals up in 15 minutes.......

LOL we even outscored you in 2005, so were the more attacking team, aswell as having the best defence in PL history <ok>

United were so boring then: scoring 74, 64, 58, 72 goals in consecutive seasons

Whole transfer is a sad indictment of football today.

£50m from a club in PSG's circumstances. Just utterly ridiculous.

    Props to Chelsea though.

Yup, if they are willing to pay it, who are we to argue.
We can buy Costa and a midfielder with that cash.
Sling in an extra 10-15m and we can get an awesome midfielder too.

It was more to do with the fact out team was poor, rather than playing defensively

The thing that bothers me most with the Luiz transfer is that it is before the World Cup. I think it is a gamble. Even if you are going to sell him the risk is he wins with Brazil and has a couple of decent games and his price essential doubles. Jose must be betting even Loopy screws up or doesn't get to play. It is a bit like going to a casino and putting forty million on red.
