Just thought I'd test the ground on this one. As you all know Luis Suarez has been suspended for 8 matches and fined 40,000 Pounds for apparently racially abusing Patrick Evra. There appears to be no evidence other than that Evra says that it was so, and that Suarez admits the fact. It appears also that Evra had also used abusive language containing reference to Suarez's Uruguayan origins - it also appears that Evra had on another occasion told a referee that he was only booking him because he was black. Bearing in mind that causing grievous bodily harm on a football pitch often only leads to a one or two match suspension is the punishment for Suarez justified - when there were no witnesses, or is it misplaced political correctness.
