I'm hoping they soon get rid of most of the current England team so there will be plenty of new candidates for the armband. Doubt that will happen until their next big 'unexpected' defeat though!
I would definitely go for Joe Hart, one of the only players in the england team that im not embarrassed of us playing at the moment
yea but i personally dont think he is good enough to be able to say that he will hold a place in the first team for the foreseeable future. You kinda need someone who is going to be playing regularly, thats why i think he will choose Rooney
Nah way, clayton is better, play him next to gerrard..... in all seriousness though, he is still at the stage where if he loses form, he's not good enough in the midfield. Although as i said, im pretty embarrassed with the current england squad so maybe he would, its patheitcally bad and no players other than Hart and Rooney would get into any other good footballing country at the moment.
