city can have him for 70mil in the summer or 100mil now. seeing they are asking us to give up on any chance of anyhting bar avoiding relegation if they take him now.. 70mil in the summer seems fiar seeing theres not one city player i'd take... not one.... no not even aguero or sila..
The longer he stays the more likely we are to get back up to the top. The key to keeping him is to get to where he (and the club) should be and that's in the Champions League. If we can build around him and keep developing him we stand a great chance of getting back up where we all want to be. Do I believe he's happy here? Yes any player who plays the way he does is settled. Does that mean we can rest on our laurels and just expect him to stay? No, the hard work starts here for both him and those around him
Selling a key player can help build for the future too though as long as the money is used correctly. Worked for Tottenham when Berbatov and Keane, not sure about this but weren't they the most prolific partnership the season before too?
It can do but I don't think it would be a good idea with Suarez, we need to attract more players like him and Suarez being in our team may persuade others to join.
You could equally use us as an example of how to completely **** up selling a key player to "build a team". I realise you put "when used correctly" but would you really trust us to spend any money wisely at the moment? We'd no doubt invest it in Grant Holt and Danny Graham
I dont understand second guessing his sentiments. We have no reason to not believe him until he proves otherwise. Anyway, if he continues to score pretty much every game; he's holding up his side of the bargain so I'm happy!
This^ We are a side of incredibly talented young players and I believe we are actaully going to go somewhere over the next few years. Tha fans have supported Suarez through good times and bad and he lives in a wonderful historical city. If he leaves will be more to do withthe owners than him.
