Yeah it took me years to figure that philosophical conundrum out. Simple as it may sound - some people lack the ability to comprehend it. Glad you learnt something from me today Dave
Good to see you back and on form Sky. RHC will be over the moon As for Suarez, he did what pretty much any player would have done in the circumstances. Would be nice if all players were honest as the day is long, but that would last precisely as long as it took them to work out they would win more games by being less honest. At least he managed to do it a bit more subtly than Ronaldo, Scholes and Henry did!
One does one's best Tbh from what I've seen of him Suarez seems like a decent down to earth bloke. Certainly seems more intelligent and articulate than most of the other players, and for all his controversy on the pitch his slate is remarkably clean off it. Tho' that still doesn't mean I won't rip the piss out of the diving, handballing, cheating, biting racist **** tho...for as long as he plays for you dirty bastards!
As long as you know the feeling is the same here about Rooney (replace biting racist with granny shagging though)
It could well have been instinctive but it was still blatant (hand clearly going up to block the ball) and should not have been given. Bearing in mind he was playing a very modest non-league team which had their biggest day today, he could have declared that it was a handball. He would have had a great deal of credit from all quarters and his team would still very likely have gone on to qualify. However, now the view is that Suarez got Liverpool an undeserved pass to the next round and a cash strapped non league club feels cheated of a lucrative replay.
"Bearing in mind he was playing a very modest non-league team which had their biggest day today, he could have declared that it was a handball." So we've moved on from 'he did that deliberately and kissed his hand to rub it in', to 'Well alright, it was instinctive and other players such as Scholes, Drogba and Macheda have done it, but Suarez did it against a non-league team, so he should have confessed there and then".... Now if I were a mansfield fan I'd be as furious with the idiotic linesman who missed that as we were about the dope who gave Suarez offside against everton, but I'd feel ****ing patronised that Suarez was supposed to cough-up because we're a non-league team, whereas if we were Fulham or Chelsea it'd be alright.
So i hear Suarez jumped up in the air to catch the ball with both hands and run 20 yards and throw it into the net. Cheating ****!
