He's got 4 years of a 5 and a half year contract left after signing an extension to his at the time current contract. So how much will we get for him now that you have that info to hand? And are you an players agent as you seen to be good juggling figures regarding our players worth.
My first thought was he had three or four years left in summer when all the **** kicked off (several times), after a little research... He signed a new deal in August 2012 - link It doesn't say how long a deal it was but according to this, he had four years remaining at the time. The deal won't have been shortened which means he has at least two years from next summer
If he still has 3 1/2 - 4 years left on his contract in the summer you are far more likely to get to the £60m+ mark i recon. I didn't realise he had signed an extension 18 months ago. I still don't think you'll get £80m+, it's only ever happened twice and both times on players who would generate large amounts commercially on top of there football ablity. I think expecting a world record fee for your player when only Arsenal have ever bid for him for like half that value might be a little optimistic, dont you? And no i'm not a football agent but figuring out that players value drops the closer they are to the end of there contract is hardly rocket science pal
No i don't. Go back and read the comments i actually made to you RE: Ramsey. You've clearly completely misunderstood (assuming you even read my post). Or more likely your just on the wind up
I think your business logic is just a little floored. If Suarez was sold to either Real or Barca then his financial potential in both South America and in the Far East (via his Liverpool link) would be stupendous - far far more than Bale could ever achieve in either of those 2 regions. Therefore in terms of ability and financial return Suarez would be a steal at £80 million for either club.
I think if you get top 4 you will If you don't i think he will kick up a fuss again and not sure you'll put up with it again. It'll be interesting to see how he deals with it if you don't make top 4 and the club tells him he still can't leave.
You're forgetting mate, Suarez is already fluent in Spanish and already does commercial work in his own country and for us. And the fact that you class Bale's sellability/commercial worth on par with Ronaldo is hilarious.
RE your first point, that's your opinion but i disagree, Bale being paid the amount he is (far more than Suarez and most other players to be fair) is due to how much income he is able to generate. And i don't think him playing for Liverpool makes a bit of difference, all the other clubs you have mentioned have larger fanbases than Liverpool globally. So i think your logic is a little floored It's an opinions game though! RE your second sentence, calling any player a steal at £80m seems a little ridiculous to me. Only two players have ever gone for that figure and neither time have the club (Madrid in both instances) considered it a steal but rather the most news worthy transfers in history. Funded by the sale of players considered huge stars like Ozil.
That depends if we are going by what i think the highest bid from another club might be, or what i think we would accept? Given he has just signed a 5-6 year contract and is arguably the best player in the league so far this season i wouldn't put it past one of the mega rich clubs to put in a large offer for him, however i don't think Arsenal would currently sell.
You said something along the lines that only two megadeals have happened not just because of the players ability but also their commercial value, you obviously meant Ronaldo and Bale.
On current form? I could see clubs putting in offers closing in on the £40m mark. Personally i can't see us selling him for any amount unless it's completely over the top. Considering his long contract and that Wenger has recently answered the question about Ramsey and said at no price will he or any of our other key players be sold as he has suffered to much losing our top stars due to financial restrictions in recent years. It could all be bluster, but i genuinly think for the first time in years Arsenal are in a position to turn down big money offer sfor our players.
Yep, 100% correct. But thats completely different from saying Bale has the same commercial attraction as Ronaldo.
Which is why i said he is arguably the best player so far THIS season But to be fair to him he has been playing well since Christmas, so he is closing in on a very solid year.
