Suarez was only good v the likes of Norwich etc. He had a very lucky year too.

Without a lot of counting I can say that Messi didn't score or assist in just 9 games of the 31 that he featured. So 22 out of 31 games he scored or assisted.
Suarez didn't score or assist in 10 games of the 33 that he started. So 23 games out of 33 he scored or assisted.
Can't be bothered to do the others but they're the top two.

6 of Messi's goals were also penalties.

Cheers Matur, i`m a lazy batard and couldn`t be arsed looking :grin:. This matters to me because in my opinion the most effective player is the one who scores/assists in the highest percentage of games played, not the one who scores/assists the most overall.

Yup. Would much rather my player score consistently than go 4 games scoring 7 goals then fire blanks for 5 games then go on another spurt. Sturridge is a good example of that. For us he's scored consistently 1 or sometimes 2 goals.

It's worked well though as Suarez has then cored lots in some games so complimented each other well.

Got to be chances created rather than assists, can't compensate for someone else being **** at finishing
