    Reminds of Pires / Henry / Bergkamp. I don't think we've had a player of their quality since until Ozil arrived <ok>

    I'd still loan him out to Charlton or Wimbledon for a few months so he can learn to grow a pair, but otherwise he has his moments :cheesy:

    Great goal and quality shown from Ozil, just goes to show how good he really is. In my opinion, he's not the only world class player, i'd put Sanchez and Bellerin up there with him.

    I know you don't like them but RVP and Cesc are up there with the same quality.When they were on form and injury free in RVPs case, they were phenomenal for us. Shame they pissed off the way they did.

    Well screw them. With Cesc, I'm not as pissed off because Barca was his boyhood club. RVP was a complete **** to join our rivals when he did and now he's in the abyss.

    And I can't lie, seeing him struggling in the Turkish league fills me with some glee inside.

    He could've left Arsenal legend and now he's left as judas. Albeit with a PL trophy but I bet he wishes he could've ended his career in England.

    I agree, RVP showed much more disloyalty than Cesc. At least with Cesc, he played many seasons for us and gave his all. RVP on the otherhand was injured for the majority but for 1 and half seasons and then pissed off. We stuck by him at his most useless, and when it came the other way round, he jumped ship when we needed him most.

    But there is no question that RVP was pure quality and if he was in his prime playing for us now, we would be even more dangerous.

    Has he stayed injury free since he left us and what is his goal scoring record since leaving United
    i find it funny that United got rid of him so as to keep Rooney as striker, and they have struggled since

    The RVP betrayal felt like the fat wife you stood by through thick and thin (pardon the pun) and once she lost weight and gained more attention at the gym, she leaves you for her personal trainer. <laugh>


    This isn't a personal anecdote btw.
