How where they the better side? Man City were pressing them back all game. They defended well and deserved a point though.

Sunderland, or more appropriately O'neill, got the tactics absolutely spot on, they managed to nullify even the most potent of City attacks, the fact Dzeko is absolutely shocking adds to that but nonetheless they went out with a gameplan and it paid off, they outpassed City in the midfield and didnt give them much room at all, who else have managed to do that this season? They were patient all game and defended very well and the goal came. I was massively impressed. Pardew could take a few notes from O'neill IMO.

And one of the Stoke goals was offside, cant remember which, the penalty at OT and the ball that went out of play at Wolves, oh and the penalty Wolves should have had aswell, theres probably more that I cant think of aswell.

That match seriously reminds me of our 12 point lead season. Heartbreaking injury time losses. History repeating?!

It won't be long before the bubble burst just like ours did. Hopefully we can get a couple of wins back to back.

The ball did go out of play at wolves though, the ref probably shouldn't have called it, but it turned out to be the right decision, none of the goals at Stoke were offside, and the pen at old trafford was lucky I admit. But we've had soft pens give against us also, and we were wrongly knocked out the cup by bad decisions.

Still though, It's only fair we get to mention their luck because they typed in a load of comments talking about how lucky we were at the start of the season.

Sunderland deserved the win because they wanted it more than Man City.

I'm sick of hearing all these arguments about luck. We could talk ages about what decisions have gone our way and what haven't, but at the end of the season teams will be where they are on merit. You can fluke one game but not a season. People are over analysing it.

They had a few chances, but overall Man City controlled that game.

And Don't bother talking about sour grapes, they made a fair few articles talking about how lucky we were at the start of the season and how we were in a false position.

There were plenty who were on a wind up though, either that or were just bitter. It came across pathetic when they did it and it's coming across pathetic now you're doing it.

There were plenty of level headed Sunderland fans who were happy to admit that we played well and earned our place at the top. I'm happy to admit that they deserved their victory today, just like we deserved to lose by more than two goals at Anfield.

Give some credit where credit is due. your such a ****ing child

I actually did give them credit on their board stating they defended well and deserved something from the game. Get lost.

Very well said.

Sunderland are still **** but they are having a good run. Once they lose a couple in a row the real team will surface.

Just like us.

Interesting fact, just seen on facebook. Ji Dong Wong has scored more goals in 2012 than Messi and Ronaldo combined <whistle>

Martin Tyler did it again with his dramatic commentating. "Jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Its nice to hear it when it isnt Collymore closing in, or Graeme Fenton destroying our Title challenge.

This is the point I'm trying to make you knacker. Its **** boy who was whinging about the offside, I was simply saying that we've had our share of luck aswell. It normally evens out anyway. Sunderland were the better side and deserved the win, IMO and thats all there is to it.

I won't give Sunderland any credit at all because they were all pissing me off saying we were lucky all season. Sunderland can suck may arsehole.
