Totally agree HIAG.

Some comments suggest that Modric is too hard to replace. - with that in mind, does that mean that some think he's one of the best midfielders in the world? only a player of such calibre is of such a difficulty to replace. when receiving that volume of cash from sale, there are plenty of options for us. £40 odd mill opens up so many doors. Yes, Luka will be missed, but he can be replaced, even if that someone is of a different style and things change a bit.

If those of you honestly believe he's one of the best midfielders in the world, then fair enough. But I believe his game still lacks certain elements to put him in that category. Therefore I feel comfortable that with the funds available and the wage cap increased, we can find someone to fill his boots.

I see that SSN are speculating that PSG may be one of the interested parties, as Ancelotti won't confirm or deny an interest. If that's where he goes, then it just confirms that little Lucas's main interest is filling his boots!..

I love this time of year.

It's the time of the ITK.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

On balance, I'll take my chances on Modric for Moutinho plus 10 million or more. I should know more about Moutinho, though, but knowing he was Portugal's playmaker tells me he's the right man for the job. There's no doubt Modric is a fantastic player. I'm less concerned about his lack of goals and assists than the feeling at the end of the season that his heart was't in it. Don't get me wrong, I think he put in a good shift overall, but it still felt like a shift.

AVB talked about getting to the top, which is bold. If it's going to happen, we're certainly going to need new investment. Two other things that should happen are to build a better back four than anyone else has---which has been done, I think--and get rid of those who won't buy into his system.

Looking at it now it would seem like Modric and Levy made an agreement if we didn't qualify for the Champs League last year he could go this summer.Modric has not opened his mouth once this summer trying to get a move unlike last year just as Levy did not make a statement about not selling our best players. For a new manager to come in and in his first interview say Luka can go shows Levy is looking for a bidding war to bump the price up.

Goodbye Luka it was good while it lasted but the Mighty Spurs will survive perfectly well without you!!
