Don't dislike the guy, but I can't see how this extra wage adds much - he is an injury risk in recent years (including with us last season) and is an out and out winger so where does he fit in to our current system?

Not a positive for me.

Now he's here obviously I want him to do well but seems unnecessary given it's not really a position we lack in and he's not that great even if he can stay fit. Would rather those wages went on a centre-half.

Is there a chance that Brighton are paying some or all of his wages?

Can't see how he is worth a squad number ahead of a couple of 'our own'.

Shodipo, Chair, Eze etc. He's probably more 'ready' but no world-beater and/or worth chasing given the presumed extra wages etc.

Did we drop Yeni to include LuaLua? If anything that's probably worsening the squad unless Holloway has decided Yeni and Sylla aren't cut out for the grim north.

I read somewhere Yeni was injured during training last week, ankle I think. Sylla was out due to head banging at Northampton.

Given that he is obviously surplus to requirements at BHA it's strange that he hasn't been sold.

Might be an insurance against relegation - or maybe just doing him a favour by running his contract down so he can go on a free at the end of the season and make a wad of signing on cash from a new club as a thank you for decent length of service.

I think he can pace to the attack and has experience.

Olive mentioned that he would line to, but cannot currently play a la Blackpool, due to a lack of pace. Perhaps our current 3:5:2 formation is an interim step to a future even more dynamic formation?

Anyway, we are speculating. I am sure that Ollie has a plan and a reason, and I look forward to fully understanding it.

Heard a rumour he was using his "decent length" for something else, which is why he's been put out on loan......

Ha... I guess that's possible, but not heard anything.

He is right at the back of the line of 5 wingers at Brighton so not sure it would have made any difference - biggest problem is his injury record - seems like he's been more on the treatment table than available for the last couple of years
