I have absolutely no idea about this game. Plenty of scope for one or both to **** it up, play well, or blandfest us all to sleep.

It's all going to depend on who Monk starts. Dyer and Routs have to play with more quality than they have shown recently. Bony vs Gomis makes a huge difference. And Ki+? in midfield. I presume Sig will start.

'Pools defense is suspect. I would have to loved to have seen Montero have a go up there. Bony and Sig could make it a very, very tough day for Rogers. If Shelvey plays .... please God .... let him stay on the field until the sub.

I think it makes no difference which team we or L'pool put out..... the ref will have the biggest effect on the outcome.

Dai.....Search your feelings - you know it to be true.

In the League Cup, the ref's decision to send Fernandez off essentially decided the outcome. Even if L'pool didn't get that goal at the end - they probably would have during extra time.

Nice sunny day for away travel, buses leave the stadium at 12. Hopefully the stalwart away travel fans will be treated to a top performance by our team tonight, looking to avenge the recent last minute cup defeat suffered there, when down to 10 men,due to a poor ref and Fed's wrongful dismissal.

Really glad Montero is out, we just can't defend against pace at the moment. Saying that, we struggle against a lack of pace too.

Very hard to call... if our players turn up and play like they can, we will win. We have a lot of talent in our group. Unfortunately we've lost any sort of form, confidence, practically leaderless etc... we're extremely brittle - we need to score first. The flip side is that a decent Swansea performance should see you win because we'll suffer another mental collapse and lose all shape. Simply put this game will be decided by which Liverpool shows up.

It says a lot that the player I'd most like from Swansea is Ashley Williams!

In a way this is the worst time to face us this season as Brendan is finally changing things (finally) - we look a lot better with 3 CBs, Lucas recalled, Can included. Sakho is back and playing well whilst Markovic is starting to click going forward.

Fully expect Monk to instruct Bony/Gomis to stick to Skrtel and wait for his mistake + emphasise the importance of pressing and winning second balls. We couldn't get out vs Burnley (****ing Burnley) and subsequently bled chances because we can't defend for toffee.

Lucas v Sig is the big one for me, if Lucas can stop him playing we'll have a good chance of the win.

However we are talking crazy Brendan selections here so I'm not sure Lucas will even start.

We need 3 points tonight and that may just play nicely into your hands. Of ccourse there is the other thing. we quite possibly will not show up at all and get soundly beaten. How you handle Sterling and Cout tonight will be important, keep them quite and we'll really struggle to create anything.

The better Liverpool play, the more chance we have of winning. Without Montero, we're forced to start Dyer and Routledge, and currently, they have absolutely no keys to unlock any defence. However, the better Liverpool play, the more space Dyer and Routledge will get going forward. As bad as they both currently are against a static, deep-lying defence, they are still quick boys who will make the most of open space. If Liverpool sit deep and let us dilly-dally around the half way line, Routledge and Dyer will be passengers and you'll probably catch us on the counter at some point in the game.

It's a risky ploy, because Anfield and the Kop will be urging Liverpool to dominate play, but absorbing Swansea is the best way to beat us, especially without our gem, Montero, who is our only player consistently capable of going past opposition players. I get the feeling that whoever has least of the play will win tonight.
