loyal. If you are faithful and devoted to someone or something, you're loyal. ... Loyal comes from the Old French word loial which means something like "legal," but if someone is only loyal to you because the law requires him to be, that's not true loyalty, which should come from the heart, not a contract.

Over the other side of the city: Coughlan has left Bristol Rovers. Heading off to Mansfield. Dropping to League Two.

Mansfield doing over the Gas again?

    He hasn't left yet.

    Key word yet.

Apparently he wants to be closer to his family up North as he doesnt get to see them much. Ok, thats understandable. But what I dont get is why now? Why not back in the summer after steering us clear of a relegation battle? Or why not after this season has finished? He has got us to 4th so far. Our game in hand could see us go into 2nd. Even though the football is not always good, he has the team believing in themselves and in his system and as a result we are in very good form and just beat 2nd place Ipswich away - who has only previously lost 1 home league game this season. Why now come out and pretty much publicly declare he wants to go? We've got a good chance to finish in the top 6 and who knows, may even do better. His CV will certainly look a lot better and could get a much better club close to his family than Mansfield who are 18th in league 2. Just makes no sense to do this now and it will only affect the team now whether he stays or goes. The players now know he wants to go. Will they continue to play for him?
