Also in the name of accuracy: 1) We're HCAFC; 2) Leeds were promoted to the Championship from League One, not League Two 3) You're a black bastard, OLM
Don't close the thread yet, I haven't had chance to mention that they're the worst supported team per head of population in the UK and with 3 times the population of Hull they should be averaging over 45,000 for every home game.....
The majority of the increased crowd who turned for the Leeds game were the ageing glory hunters () from all the little loser towns of the UK who still follow Leeds. Hope they enjoyed their humiliation at the KC as their team were outclassed. Still, well done on today and I'm sure it was a lovely twirly scarf occasion
What? Is it small time that Oldham filled their ground to play Liverpool and they all raised their game and sung a bit? I know Oldham and Leeds are miles apart in terms of club size, but its what the F.A. cup is about. The under dog winning.
Fair play to Oldham they wanted it more. I do like an underdog in the cups and would like City to show more committment, as long as i doesn't interfer with the league progress (take note Erik). It's the apathy i can't be arsed with and it comes with it every season. Last time City had a big team in the cup at home was the league cup v Chelsea. We had the Hull Blues/ part timers crawling out the woodwork, we were selling half and half scarves outside the ground and ****ing fireworks on the pitch beforehand. If that's not tinpot i dunno what is.
Didn't realise that. Very sad. Well, with all due respect to them, Oldham are pretty small and unlikely to play Liverpool in the league any time soon. It's a bit different to a Championship club!
Leeds have spent almost 10 seasons outside the top flight, a few in League one. You can't blame them for wanting to watch them play a top side in a competitive fixture.
