Took a 36" Toshiba Widescreen TV for a friend to the recycle centre yesterday. Massively heavy item. The cuts and scrapes are healing nicely.

Thing was, I ended up going into the shed, to put the TV table down for re-use, and found several copies of FIFA and PES for Playstation2. I sifted through them and the most recent FIFA was 2008 and the newest PES was number 6. I've always liked PES, so I took that.

Got home and eventually had a go. What happened..? It worked fine but was crap. After being thoroughly dismayed by it I looked online later for people's opinions. Apparently, it's considered to be the best one. Not by me it isn't.

 

Fantastic race that was. Delighted for Dani Ricciardo - such a lovely guy and one hell of a driver too.

 

I still think PES 3 is the best football game ever made, I wish I still had it

I've still got PES 4 and I think it's very good. Ref blows for a foul to the console opposition if you so much as sniff in their direction, and the commentary is utter crap, but other than that it's fine.

PES 6 lost much of the playability. The players lurch everywhere in slow motion, by comparison.

 

Glenn Maxwell is finally showing what he can do. 102 not out off 75 balls in the one day cup.

 

Just watching Commonwealth Boxing....when did amateurs stop wearing head gear?

 

Just looked it up...head gear been dropped as it is believed to encourage hard shots and reduces peripheral vision. So safer not to wear head gear ??

 

Well, that was a very fun race. Happy that Ricciardo won

 

PES 6 is the best PES ever. It'll take a while to get used to as you've been playing 4 FOR EVER, but give it time. If my opinion counts for anything, 4 is the second best. You really should give 6 more time though.

 

I was going to anyhow MLiR, but it's disappointing not for it to be an improvement in actual play, in my opinion. I'm sure I'll adapt though.

Bit churlish to whinge as well, as I got it for sweet FA.

Bit if trivia: Pelle was in V.4 with Lecce, as a raw youngster, but he's not in V.6 as they must have been relegated for Serie A.

 

Cook out for 95. Caught behind off a long hop down the leg side! Twat.

 

Shame he's out , but a real moral boosting innings .

Still don't want him as captain though .
