Adam has just said on Sky that Liverpool third and Saints 4th at the end of the season would be perfect for him...he meant that in a nice way and not how some over sensitive souls will read it. And although I'm sure he is happy with his move to Liverpool, I bet a small part of him knows he would have enjoyed the sheer fun of our season. He will have regrets...very few decisions in life are a 100%. As everyone has said, the main problem was his badge kissing, stay here forever stance and the fact he didn't stay when, for all he knew, we were in serious trouble. After today I hope everyone just moves on...let's just do better than them this season and in the future.
I agree. What are they thinking? What possible purpose does this serve for them? And why would a scouse supporter care in the slightest about their thoughts regarding their old club? I'm baffled.
Sorry Puck, two of those players don't deserve to be associated with someone as cool as the who.... Hence the girl band
They're trying to spin some positive PR to try and placate the crowd - they know we'll go and watch that. Unfortunately it actually just reconfirms our initial feelings about the three players and is rather patronising.
Three things stand out for me: 1.Lovren stating that you have to take opportunities when they come. I at least that showed some honesty. He is right. I feel very little for Lovren. He came to resurrect his career and did so, giving us good season. Will we be frothing at the mouth if Elia goes to Arsenal, foe example? He suffers largely from the fact that he went in the exodus. 2. Lallana is really not very bright. Please don't boo him. He'll think we miss him! 3. Rickie knows he is a legend. He's landed on his feet and appreciates what he's got.
Not remember the stuff Lovren said/did? The stuff that came out is only half of it btw. People are crazy if they think the worse thing Lovren did was use us as a stepping stone.
I'll bow to your superior knowledge on this one. I didn't follow the gossip closely enough. If a measured soul like FLT holds him in contempt, it's ggod enough for me.
Hampshire born (Eastleigh) and I lived in Northampstonshire for over a decade and still have a house there. As a rugby union fan too - I followed the other 'Saints'!!
