We obviously don´t want it to come down to goal difference but it´s reassuring to know that if we do have the same amount of points as reading or west ham at some stage from now till the end the season then we will still be sitting top of the league (which is great psychologically for the team as we will still feel that we are in command and we do not have to depend on other teams slipping up). I don´t think that on the last day of the season it will come down to goal difference but I still think it could be a very important factor in these remaining games.
Was never said. Last season David Sullivan said relegation would result in financial armageddon. We seem ok so far don't we? David Gold has since said that we have budgeted to keep the team competitive in this league for at least 2-3 seasons. If we don't go up this season it will be disappointing. Of course it will. But it wouldn't be the end of the world. They love a bit of drama but we are no where near the financial crisis some of you wish upon us. COYI.
Again, you have us wrong. There's no malice here [well, very, very little] and nobody wants a financial crisis to hit any club [Personally, I might make an exception with the top 4-6 of the PL, to see how they like it]. We just want a flat and fair playing field and the best team win. You might think I'm following you around, answering your posts, but if you continue to make erroneous statements about us, and I see them, I'll correct you [though I'd appreciate it if you'd stop, as I'd rather talk about Saints]. Cheers.
Don't really think that there is a "magic number" this year. Reading are on a great run and who's to say that West Ham aren't over their wobble. Control the controllables, one game at a time.
Trouble is fans read into some things that which isn't their. Media talk usually makes things sound far more malicious or over the top than it actually is. Usually the Sun, Star, Mirror etc. Hammers still have the parachute payments coming in so will be ok I should think. Hammers are probably the ones looking over their shoulders right now but a good win for them tonight will ease their worries considerably. There are bound to be some ups and downs as the pressure is now fully exerted and the strongest and not necessarily best will profit.
Stain, you do seem to have taken a bit of a shine to me don't you? Stop sending me private messages telling me you love me please. I'm not like that.
