The mulberry was always a better pub. But I used to know the sones of the bloke who ran the Adelphi on Leeds bridge so that was my regular pub in the city centre.
That's the one, and the place on York road that turned into a pet shop. Used to have strippers and topless bar staff on Fridays. Spent way too much in there.
Back to the thread title. The replies to the piece really do point out the truth about pissed up Pete, Ken Bates's chief apologist. Cheapest rentaquote available, bought for two pints.
And sometimes both their intentions and opinions are both right. Legend as a player, sellout as a person.
Theyre not all right though given the amount of conflicting opinions among fans. So some must be wrong, but which ones?
Cellino has his failings. But he's putting his money where his mouth is. We are moving forward, slower than we want. But we are moving forward. Cellino has made mistakes. But its time for the boo boys to shut up & give him time to succeed
You know I was going to say this but I don't think any of those points are true. And I do mean any. Time will tell on the putting his money in and moving forward, hope you are right but doubt it.
Fair comment Chippy. Time is the important thing here. Let's see where we are cum the end of the season. Tuesday showed what we can do when Evans & the team get it right. The arrival of Botaka, Dallas & others shows what Cellino can do when he takes advice and does not rush to take us to the top of the PL & risk taking us back to the dark days of the fall out from the living the dream era.
Lorimer ... he told us Bates was an excellent Chairman and very good for the club ... he told us GFH were right for us ... he is nothing more than a yes-man doing his best to butter up whoever is in charge ... he misuses his column for self-promotion to the owner ... he may as well move his pub to the shadows behind the Stretford End
I prefer to call it, keeping an open mind. I dont believe in condemning someone after five minutes. Happy birthday by the way
