Bloody annoying when he's lauding it on Sky Sports News every other half hour though.

He must be anxious about finding new buyers for Wigan. If relegated, they won't exactly be an attractive prospect for investors.

A true fan that backed his team with his own cash.

I see poor old Peterborough are having to put up with HB now. He seems to have taken over their board.

Pompey have an article on it, no replies as yet. To be fair, I don't really care whose forum a particular thread's on, if it interests me, I'll wade in!

And usually piss off the natives in the process.

Quite an interesting watch, but I was surprised about which clubs were and weren't mentioned.

Agreed. Plus when clubs go into administration and effectively wipe out debts it is largely small local businesses that suffer, some of them going out of business and others having to reduce their own costs often resulting in redundancies. Also unpaid taxes mean loss of public sector jobs and less to spend of public services. Why should the normal working people have to suffer because some crap business men decide to pay already overpaid footballers more than the club can afford to pay them. Its not like they can't do the sums and are taken by surprise. They just run up the debts, hoping for a miracle to pay them off and then when the miracle doesn't happen they walk away from it and some other poor twat suffers the cost. Along with the fans of course!

    Rant over!

I watched the programme with interest, however I felt that the focus was far too narrow, too much on Spurs as Sugar has an in there and failed to look at the clubs that are trying to balance the books as MA has set out in his business plan, Sugar puts up a nice front but he is as responsible for the way in which business is done as anyone else as a former chairman he didn't try and change things when in charge at Spurs. It would have been nice to see Sugar leave London in his search for answers and actually look at all the clubs to achieve some balance and even find some real answers, as for Platini and the Uefa plan, this has always been an attack on the PL as Platini has long hated the influence it holds over European and world football, especially as French football at home is so poor in comparison.
